Carniceria La Costa — Local services in Conyers

I wonder if the owners/managers of this establishment read these reviews because this comment is for you. In the past, I would have normally given about four stars for the pleasant/organized environment and ample products; but today was different for me because of the disappointing customer service experience I had. I had been standing in the only checkout line that was open, waiting for the customers who had quite a few groceries to be checked out. Two customers showed up behind me and suddenly, the cashier told them in Spanish that the register behind her was opening up. I assumed she said this because she pointed to it and the customers thanked her and ran to it quickly. Maybe it may seem trivial to some for me to mention this; but I just don't think it's good customer service to have had me standing and waiting before them and you didn't offer me the chance to move. I felt like my time was not valued by the cashier! As she started scanning my products, she barely looked at me and I asked her why she didn't tell me the cash register was opening up. She didn't seemed too pleased that I was questioning her, as she didn't offer an apology nor a smile. Finally, she said "I didn't see you." There was no way she could've overlooked me. Out in Conyers, GA, down Hwy 138 just about a half mile south of I 20 across from the new Chick fil A, lies a hidden gem you may not know about. It's called Carniceria Costa, or, as I like to call it, "My Fajita Place". This place doesn't really stand out from the outside, but once you buy some of their prepared steak fajita meat, take it home and cook it up, you quickly realize Carniceria Costa is a special place. The steak fajitas are some of the best I have ever put in my mouth. They have become one of my go to's when I need to feed a crowd and know everyone will be satisfied. The store itself is good and I love going there to get all my food. However, I have had quite a few disappointing experiences with the customer service at this store for quite a while now, but mainly with the ladies at the front (cashiers). They are remarkably unfriendly and seem disinterested in helping the customers. Their lack of enthusiasm and blunt demeanor leaves a lot to be desired. I hope the store takes steps to improve their customer service in the future. I think this behavior is strange, since I've met the owner of the store, and she herself is extremely sweet.
