I HAVE HAD TO CALL 3 TIMES TODAY AND STILL NO MEDS. I CALLED THIS MORNING AND THEY SAID TO WAIT FOR A TEXT (NEVER GOT ONE). CALLED AGAIN AND THEY SAID PICK UP AT 2:30. HUSBAND GOES TO PICK UP AND THEY ASKED “WHO TOLD HIM HE COULD PICK UP AT 2:30” AND THEY SAID HE CAN PICK UP AT 4:00pm! THEN THEY TOLD HIM THEY WILL HAVE IT IN 25 MIN FOR WHATEVER REASON! NOW, MY HUSBAND IS WAITING ON A DAMN PRESCRIPTION THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN READY TWICE ALREADY! SO I CALLED TO GIVE THEM A PIECE OF MY MIND AND SHE ADMITS THAT THEY CAN SEE THAT I CALLED THIS MORNING, & SHOULD HAVE JUST PULLED THE MEDS RIGHT THEN & THERE INSTEAD OF HAVING HIM WAIT. I am going to start the research to see how I can get this facility under the spotlight and get some remedy for this type of unprofessionalism bc this is ridiculous. Original post before adding the deities edition at the top: This has got to be the most unprofessional pharmacy I have ever experienced. I am switching immediately. The pharmacy technicians are extremely rude. The phone calls are unnecessary and there is inconsistency with how they respond to them. Depending on who you get on the phone, you will have to wait for a text that you will NEVER receive, or they will give you a time to pick-up, which could be anywhere from 1 to 4hrs later. Even if you show up at the pharmacy, if you didn’t call first, you will still have to wait 1 to 4hrs and will be told to wait for a text that NEVER comes, or to come back. (This used to be 30 mins, which is understandable. Imagine being someone who is unable to drive themselves around, like me, due to my injury or it could be due to other circumstances. Imaging having just come from the ER and needing the meds.) For some reason, even though the clinic sends the prescription over, you still have to call or go to the pharmacy to make sure that the meds are in queue for pick-up, before you can actually pick up. Usually, if the doctor puts in the order, you should be able to pick it up, without all the nonsense. When you are leaving the ER in pain or have taken off for an appointment, that last thing you need is to have to keep going back and forth to Walgreens for them to get organized enough to give you your meds, which takes a full day. When you call them, it takes a long time to get someone on the phone, and when you go up there it takes a long time as well, just to be told that you can pick up 3 hrs later. Today, I had to call twice before being given a time for pick up. I am not mobile due to a foot/leg injury and have to rely on someone else to pick up meds for me. This is frustrating for that person to have to wait on a time to go pick up meds bc they have a job that takes precedence. The meds that I need are a controlled substance; therefore, I have to go through this foolishness every week. This is so annoying and inconvenient. I won’t continue to go through this, as I am already in enough pain and this only amplifies my stress levels. Therefore, I must lighten walgreens’ load by one patient and switch pharmacies immediately. Maybe that will help them get things done a...
Read morePharmacy is not helpful, ordered refill on-line, put in comments there was new insurance and phone number...didnt hear back and was told when I called they put it back because the insurance rejected. She said first they didnt get anything through the web site, then they did and put it back...nine if it made any sense. After a couple if years of not having the meds requested and then not coming in when promised, I would live to leave them behubd. Unfortunately, the entire medical industry has suffered profound confusion, none if it seems to have a clue but the prices keep rising and the customer/ patients are just a vehile to the shuffling of money from one hand to another.
Told it would be 15 minutes, drive in, waited 15 in line only to be told they were putting the labels on now, go through the line again..I did, different clerk, says wait just a minure and I watch her get the bottles and put the medicine in and hand to the pharamcist who puts on the labels, puts in the bag, staples, then hands to a 3rd person to give to me while I'm sittling in the drive through with cars behind me backing up. The quoted orice without inaurance was less than the total with the insurance and she made some ridiculous excuse..something about set up costs. Not only incompetent, but liars too. They need to be out...
Read moreLet me start off with I went to Walgreens at about 11 a.m. this morning to drop off a prescription for anti-seizure medicine for my nephew. We were told to come back at 1 and it would be ready, came back at 1, it was not filled. Was told to wait 10 minutes and ended up being there until 2:30. Finally, we get seen and the birthday of my nephew isn't in Walgreen system correctly, so they "need to call the insurance to verify his birthday" , by this time I'm extremely frustrated, I asked for the prescription slip back to take to another pharmacy in case Walgreens took too long. & we gave them the cell phone number to call when it was ready. Hours fly by and it's now 6 o clock, I give them a call only to be told "We cancelled that prescription because when you ask for the slip back we stop the whole process" this is something maybe you should tell people !!!!!! So moral of this is, The pharmacy staff at this Walgreens location were careless and had no regard for customers. They were moving unnecessarily slow without any consideration as to how urgent someone might need their medication. It is absolutely unbeleivable that the time window to pick up the prescription went from 11-1pm , to 11-6:30 pm, only to be told that they cancelled it entirely. They lost a customer and I definitely want to take...
