I really want to love anything in Conyers that is not a huge chain or fast food restaurant, and this is not quite it. It's not great, but also not bad. They do have vegetarian options I'll be going back to try.
The ambiance inside is nice enough and our party of 4 started with edamame, (hard to mess that one up; it was good), tuna rolls that were decent, and an avocado roll that had just the slightest passing acquaintance with an avocado.
The veggie hibachi was mostly cabbage and onion with a couple of small slices of carrot, zucchini, and one piece of broccoli. It came with a small side of very delicious sauce and a generous portion of fried rice. The beef hibachi came with the same side of cabbage and onion and was a bit tough. Presentation was a little lacking and I would have liked some brightly colored vegetables. Chicken ramen was a bit salty. All the entrees were a bit salty, really.
But the service was great. The server was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing and the chef gave us a quick hello and goodbye. Restaurants run on very slim margins but it did seem overpriced for the quality. I would have liked to have a greater variety of bright and colorful vegetables in a veggie dish and less salt overall. Still, I'll be going back to try some of the other menu options and hope they make a...
Read moreWent here for dinner recently, and both the food and service will have me coming back again because it's hard to find decent East Asian food in this part of the metro-ATL area. Several of the one star reviews, I do not understand, as they all try to make similar points about one of the people associated with the restaurant, but I found that same person to be incredibly kind and not how they described. Truly, I think whoever left those reviews have some prejudices that they would do well in learning to work on within themselves (I say this as someone who is from the same racial group as those who left those reviews), plus they also seem high maintenance and in need of learning how to have more humility, empathy and compassion.
Anyways, all that to say, the food was good, the atmosphere was good, and the service was good. And like those people who left those reviews, we all could do a little better in showing more understanding to those who are...
Read moreService and food both a 10/10! I was greeted by everyone when I walked in and given a menu.
The Asian lady that took my order was so pleasant and sweet. She had no problem explaining my questions about the menu and recommending/describing certain dishes. She was patient, not pressuring.
I was thinking about the Spicy Chicken Ramen and wanted to take out the chicken katsu because I did not like it at my previous favorite ramen spot. She showed me the picture of it and assured that I would like it but since I was getting takeout it would come packed separately, so if I didn’t like it I didn’t have to add it to the soup.
Well let’s just say, I loved every last bit of it, including the chicken katsu! This has taken the cake as my top ramen spot after 5 years, just like that.
Great menu and variety. Food was prepared quickly but they did not skimp on food quality. It was packaged perfectly with everything I needed for takeout. Can’t...
