This is a hidden gem. I like going to Andrew Brown Park West and Andrew Brown Park East but I’ve never been to Andrew Brown Park Central. What’s fascinating is that Andrew Park Central connects the east and west parks. You walk under the bridge (cars are passing above) from Andrew Park West and then you’ll be in Andrew Park Central. The softball/baseball field is open for practices or a leisure game; unlike the West Park, where the softball fields are usually locked unless there is a scheduled game. There are also bathrooms right next to the baseball field.

There is a lot of open grass at this park and what’s also fascinating is that the Andrew Brown Park Central used to be a Native American camping ground around 3000 BCE. The Native Americans camped here because of the running river that flows through the park and because of the trees That gave them shelter as well as an abundance of creatures to hunt.

As you continue to walk the path in Andrew Brown Park Central, you’ll find a dirt trail on the left-hand side that may lead to the East Park. I’m not sure because I didn’t take the dirt trail. Continuing on the path, you will eventually reach a bridge that crosses over the river and over the bridge is Andrew Brown Park East.

It’s quite amazing how all the Andrew Brown parks...

Big open well maintained park with 3 ponds and a nearby Creek. Great walking trails with plenty of length. Be careful of snakes if you get close to the water. I have seen several and at least one copperhead. The big open field is great for flying a kite, moving a ball or throwing a pass. Also has a great playground nearby and a pool. Love this...
