This experience was a bit of a mixed bag, shining that light that seems to uncover a dying genre, the Department Store. Which is sad and disappointing. The staff, as usual for this location, provides support and service. As we near prom season (and for this reviewer, upcoming formal weddings) the assumption is that Dillard's would have much variety to offer. That was the case in two areas, one being normal-sized human dresses and two the inventory was adequate given recent-ish supply chain issues. However, if you are a human looking for dresses sized 14 and up. Ugh. Full-on disappointing news. The regular plus-sized formal dress section is equal to approximately two racks (if one is being generous)versus an entire wall and floor for misses sizes. Don't expect high fashion to be available on most tags that size over 16. Being somewhat used to this disappointment as a thicker human, I was hurting for the high school human on the hunt for prom. Not a size 2 through 10? Look elsewhere, as the choices are very limited. The men's department did have a nice selection of men's coats for sale as did the women's. If you like Michael Kors this is a fairly good place to find many of that designer's accessories and clothing. #formalwear #prom #plussize #michaelkors...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to annua sale after new year eve toDillard's sale on January 1st.as I always do every year. To my surprise there was no sale . So picked several clothing items went to the cashier to pay for my items. I asked cashier whatever happened with sale this year. His response was:" That doesn't work for us. Waste of time and money for us it's not worth it." With crazy attitude. I was just asking you no need for you to be unprofessional, unpleasant. He scanned my items I scanned my Dillard's card. He asked me to enter zip code with sassy attitude and that was the moment I asked him to cancel my transaction. I explained him your attitude and unpleasant behavior led to this cancellation. He seems to be happy about it. It's amazing how one person can ruin experience and reputation of the store. I was always highly spoken about Dillard's and I still will but this is not a Dillard's service I remember. Dillard's was always top notch until I came across this idiot. Horrible, just horrible customer experience.I went to Von Maur and left my money there. Hope they'll do something about it and not allow someone like this guy turning away...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis afternoon I was delighted to unexpectedly see Nuna strollers & car seats in store as Iām very interested in buying for my first born after researching and learning about them. Because Iāve never seen them yet in person, I wanted to push the strollers around the immediate area a little, fold and unfold them, see if I could lift them, and all the other things I would need to be able to try/practice to ensure that is the travel system I indeed wanted because the travel system is $1,200. Unfortunately, there was a woman working that section who did not know how to work them & fold them at all, yet literally would not let me touch any of the gear to try it out myself. I need to be able to touch, push, fold, and lift it as a customer and she kept taking it from me to āshow meā, yet she had no idea how to do it. Her over-helpfulness (yet, actually un-helpfulness) was so obstructive and so rude that I left so upset, annoyed, and pushed out. Terrible experience during what was supposed to be a delightful and particularly special time. Traveling to the nearest Nordstrom next weekend for...
