Some of the workers seem very judgmental. I buy bags from their Louis section frequently and every time I go to buy one I stand there for at least 5 minutes before someone helps me but as soon as my friend came up they rushed right over to help me and I heard them say oh she’s not going to buy anything in the other section next to the purse section then the worker walked up when my friend walked up so they obviously saw me standing there then came to help me when my friend came to look because I heard them say oh she’s not going to buy anything before my friend came up. This happened before when I was going to buy a bag they took so long to come help me I had to call the store and say I’m wanting to buy a bag and no ones helping me can you please send someone. The employees in the women’s clothes section are very nice and helpful. I have had some good experiences when buying a Louis bag there the first time was good but the other 4 times the employees didn’t come up to help me till I called the store and the guy saying I wasn’t going to buy anything from the other section then coming to help when he saw my friend was just annoying and unprofessional and...

I hadn't gone to a von maur in a while, since the location is now in coralville, it is closer to me when I run errands and such. It's still a very nice store, I docked 2 stars bc of one lady made me feel somewhat not welcome, she had asked if I needed help, which I didn't at the time, then when I needed help to find out a price, she says, well here the price for the smaller of the two... and proceeds to ask, is this for you or a little gift for someone else? I give an extra star for the associates towards the end of my transaction, a lady chatted with me about the mens knick knack tables and all the goodies one could indulge in for hours. Von Maur is exceptional...no matter the location. I shop there two days a week, on specific days when they do first mark downs and then further mark downs. I always make sure to stop in the gifts department to check their sale rack so I can have gifts ready to go in case I need one. They have free gift wrapping and free shipping (day of purchse only) to anywhere in the continental US. I don't know anywhere else that does this (beyond Amazon, but you must pay a subscription for free shipping). Every store employee is just as helpful as the next.
