Husband and wife business. When I walked in, the wife began asking a man questions about her allergies. She wouldn't pause long enough to acknowledge me at any time. I strolled around for 20 minutes while the dog in her arms barked at me incessantly. I love dogs, but that was unprofessional and unpleasant. I finally left without a word of recognition or help, despite being the only customer. So I called later and made an appointment, hoping to get another salesperson. No such luck. When I arrived for my appointment, she insisted I was there on the wrong day, because she didn't know what day it was. No big deal... I've done that myself. :) But it concerned me that she was so stubborn and insistent about it for so long. I handed her a drawing with my kitchen measurements and just asked for a rough idea of price ranges and construction, something I had gotten easily twice before from other places after just a few minutes. She wouldn't or couldn't do it. She tried to reproduce my drawing in her computer, struggling over every quarter inch for three full hours even though I only wanted a rough idea of which cabinet line fit my budget. She insisted I select specific corner cabinet options which could easily be chosen later. Each cabinet company has their own options, but she Insisted I choose from the 2 they had in the shop. Here's the biggest red flag: I told her I'd chosen a 30" GEcooktop and a 30" GE oven. She told me it wouldn't fit, that a 30" cooktop would be too big to fit into a 30" oven cabinet. She said I had to get a 27" cooktop. I asked her what that looked like, mixing sizes. She replied, " Fine, I've done it." I encouraged her to check the specs, and she found out a 30" does indeed go with a 30". If she truly has done that in kitchens before, she has made big mistakes for her clients. I also found her quite difficult and impatient. She didn't listen well and quickly talked over me. She even got angry and raised her voice at me, right in my face. It was just about cabinet measurements and nothing to get angry about. That bothered me considerably. Plus I never did get the slightest bit of information from her. I'd tell you more that happened, but it would be a book! To make matters worse, she didn't know how to save her work on the computer and accidentally deleted the whole thing after all that struggle. A big waste of my time. At the start, she had said she has a design degree and two years shop experience, but how could she not know the basics? She proudly stated that her husband, the contractor, is very very smart. Perhaps. But without an experienced, cooperative certified kitchen designer who is interested in customer service, this company isn't going anywhere. I bought my quality, semi-custom cabinets elsewhere, and have a great designer now. I recommend you...
Read moreFerguson Cabinetry (Jennifer and Jamie Ferguson) held my hand through my first ever remodeling project. I knew absolutely nothing about how such a project comes together but they were very, very patient, kind and a wealth of information. Jennifer is also a wonderful designer and gave me the confidence I needed to make important decisions. And when I couldn't decide she was there to help me make the right choices. While Jennifer is the sweet one who helps to put the plan together, dear Jamie is the bull who marches in and makes sure the work is being done to his very exacting standards.
The end product turned out far better than I ever even imagined. The Fergusons are a hard working team who I would...
Read moreI really cannot say enough good things about Ferguson interiors! As a contractor, it can be challenging to find local suppliers that don’t try to take advantage of the fact that we are in a rural area. I found Fergusons products to be very competitively priced and extremely high quality. Jennifer is definitely a TOP level interior designer, and was very patient and attentive to the needs of my clients and my endless chain of emails. I was most impressed with their willingness to help and solve challenges that are present in any project. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about remodeling, flooring, cabinets and countertops. Five...
