FIRST, if there are still pictures of a white cat in theFIRST, if there are still pictures of a white cat in the businesses listing, they are before and after photos of my pet that was abused as described in this post. A woman named Dayan (Garst?) works there. She was previously allowed to groom cats at Twin Pines. She was not an employee of Twin Pines, but groomed cats there in case they needed to be partially sedated for hair cuts. Because Twin Pines is the clinic we used, we tried Dayan for the first time when our sweet 5 yr old rescue cat needed a haircut. The staff said he was so calm and well behaved they did not sedate him.
When I returned later to pick him up, staff members met me at the door with apologies. They assured me my cat was not permanently harmed, but that for reasons they could not explain, DAYAN, had essentially attacked him with the clippers. Our sweet natured boy whom had already survived a life of neglect and near starvation had been shaved nearly to the skin, which would be normal (He is white and Half Persian.) However the cut was very choppy with countless nicks that he'd to have hit his skin. Some hair had been cut from the legs, but were not clipper short like his body. She hadn't cut his nails, so the staff had attempted to do that and clean him up a bit because she didn't bathe him either.
Worst of all was what she did to his face. I had left her s note asking her to trim/shape the hair on his cheeks as best she could WITHOUT TOUCHING HIS WHISKERS OR EYEBROWS. She chopped hunks of hair randomly out of his cheeks, and INTENTIONALLY CUT HIS WHISKERS DOWN TO STUBBLE. Most people know that cats rely on their whiskers for balance and equilibrium. Without them, they may be nauseated, dizzy, and have difficulty walking normally. I was traumatized to find my baby had suffered such deliberate abuse and cruelty at the hands of an alleged professional. I cried. The clinic didn't charge me, and assured me DAYAN would never again be allowed inside their building. They told me the cat would likely feel better in a few days. He remained in our bed almost continuously for approximately 3 days (normally, he only naps with us occasionally.) His condition has returned mostly to normal, though I fear his trust in us and humans in general has been further damaged. His whiskers are growing back very slowly. A few are nearly normal, but some remain stubble-like after several months. Do not let this monster groom your animal. I would also be wary of any business that employs her. If this profession is overseen by state or local authorities, I urge them to investigate. I will post a few before and after photos if I am able. The pictures after the cut do not clearly show the extent of the abuse. You can tell that the cut is choppy, and viewed closely, you can see that the whiskers are gone. DAYAN (Garst?) is dangerous to animals, and several employees of Twin Pines Pet Clinic can now testify to that. I would certainly give zero stars, but not know another way to start the...
Read moreHonestly, when I first walked into the office at Country Club, I didnât feel very welcome (like I shouldnât have been there yet). A younger looking girl at the front desk offered me a chair though so I said âthank youâ. I was meeting my dog Trainer, Rushelle Willis. I will first say she is phenomenal, and I felt like she really understood my dogs well. She was very thorough with explaining everything she had done in training. After getting Bandit home, I had noticed a difference in everything that she had told me about. He did however had a couple accidents inside, the first day, but I figured that may have been from him trying to adapt to our house again after being with her the 2 weeks. Iâm not quite sure yet. Rushelle did know a lot about my dogsâ breeds and kept the smaller one for 1 more week so I could try to adapt him into our schedule again. I have 4 small kids and she took that into consideration. I appreciated that. What really put the cherry on top for me with this Trainer was that she spoke about her family and faith in God/Jesus, and that encouraged me in my faith in Jesus as well, even more than I already had. The other trainers were really nice and kind to meet as well. Again, I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Rushelle Willis, for being a phenomenal trainer and knowing so much about dogs and teaching me so much more than the other dog groomers/vets Iâve taken my dogs to beforehand. Thank you!!! May God Bless you in your work and Family!! :) I think whatever the price, it deserves to go to her completely for all the work she did with them, and teaching me. (She also kept me updated in between the weeks and I did like...
Read moreLet me start off by saying how appreciative I am for Fidos.
I greatly appreciate the company being there for our last minute plans. We didnât have a sitter for our pup, (I didnât reserve a spot at our normal place, my fault) so we went to fantastic Fidos.
Everything looked great. The facilities, the staff are great, very attentive.
My biggest Hangup is that they told us every day that our pup boarded with them that we would get daily report cards and pictures (via Snapchat/Facebook)
Of The 4 days that Luka boarded with Fidos, only two report cards where given, and one was after we called on the second day.
When we went to pick up Luka, he was in a crate by himself. I asked âwhyâ and was told that he wasnât doing great with the group. (I was told He was playing aggressively, possessive, and bit a younger dog on the face.)
If that is the case, I completely understand. What I donât understand, is why I wasn't contacted after the fact. Did I just pay 220 dollars for 3 1/2 days for my dog to be isolated in a cage? I donât know, because these people dropped the ball on keeping us informed on how Luka was doing.
Is Fidos terrible?
No absolutely not.
Am I dissatisfied?
Kind of. Promises...
