The Butcher Block Deli — Restaurant in Covington

Well, now I know why I never eat here... I got a to-go order yesterday (got a wrap & a sugar cookie) & my wrap was made wrong. I called & talked to a manager & she said they would remake it if I brought it back up there... the next day. Told me "I didn't even have to refrigerate it, just bring it back." So, I did. Instead of throwing my bag away after seeing I brought the food back, they sat it on the counter where other Togo orders were. That's disgusting & I'm pretty sure it's against serve safe as well. So I asked for a refund for my wrap only since I did eat the cookie (I was at work for the next 4 hours so I had to eat something.) She then asked me if i had a salad as well. I said no just the wrap & cookie. She then asked again & asked the worker next to her as if i was lying. She did eventually give me my refund, but I'm just appalled as to what went on today....

It had been awhile since I'd eaten here, so thought I'd stop by and grab a bite after work on Saturday, Dec. 2. It was me a two elderly ladies. I got the BBQ sandwich plate and a sweet tea. The tea was perfect. Just wish I didn't run out midway thru eating and have to ask for more twice before getting some more. The BBQ was soak with sauce and spicy....not good. Couldn't taste the smoke. The wait staff sat down and talked loudly about their personal life, but guess they had to talk loud to be heard over the music blasting overhead. And when I ran out of tea, I had to ask twice for more, and the waitress said very sarcastically said "Sure, we're right on that." I'm in the service industry. If you aren't willing to work for your tip, don't be surprised when you don't get but a dollar---which she commented on, by the way, rudely. I...

My order was a takeout order. The girl taking my order did not mention that anything over fifty dollars a 20 percent gratuity would be added. When My sister picked up my order for me she was told eighty something dollars. Okay. When I checked my bank account later it was over a hundred dollars. Butcher Block did indeed take the 20 percent without telling me or my sister. When I inquired about it, I was told that there were signs posted at each register. I pointed out that I called this order in and had no way of reading the signs. And I didn't get my six red pepper mayo's...
