I’m someone who never leaves reviews, thinks it is ridiculous to do so, so it says something that I sat down, made a yelp account & spent time on this.
First, don't ignore the negative reviews prior to mine about discrimination like I did or you’ll be wasting time & money. One complaint here & there may be justified (if they haven’t had them removed or hidden by now), but a handful of people aren’t making it up. They’re trying to push the negative reviews lower in the feed by giving out a Qr code w/ incentives to leave a 5 star review. Extremely shady, run their business poorly in addition to being discriminatory about who they’ll lease to. I can back this up by saying that my boyfriend & I toured the apartments, were told the requirements to be accepted & then applied, provided everything they asked for, promptly. We overcommunicated & constantly asked questions for clarity (because they’re not super helpful/receptive in general, nor is how they structured their online application process).
The Community Manager waited until the money left our bank accounts ($350 just to apply), after I paid for the first month of a renter's insurance policy through them and scheduled utilities to be put into my name, etc. to tell me we were not accepted based off of not being able to verify his income (more details to come on this). Mind you, they sent us a welcome letter after our initial application, and a list of things that needed to be completed prior to move in, so it got done. I am also, after being denied, STILL GETTING EMAILS TO COMPLETE MY MOVE IN TASKS, etc. The whole process was backwards, it's giving scam and discrimination! Discrimination because, although the community manager emailed us to say we were denied based on not being able to verify income, this woman made no attempt to do so, because she never emailed or called his manager at his job even though we provided contact information and compensation details???????????? Then, we left a phone call and email in response to hers, trying to work with her and she ignored us the whole day until my boyfriend went down there to rectify the issue and saw her in person. If they truly wanted to work with us or allow us to clarify whatever issue, as she pretended in the email, she would not have ignored my email nor our request for a call. If we were denied "based off of not being able to verify income," then why are we not being allowed to verify the income? He is being given the run around, even down to showing his bank account on his phone with direct deposit information, and she has an attitude about her the whole time for no reason? Why is no attempt being made to complete the process? After jumping through hoops to provide proof of legitimate income, they then just picked and choose other random, invalid reasons to deny our application. I will 100% be escalating this to the appropriate people. Something else to keep in mind is they allow their tenants to do whatever they want. They are all about getting you in there and just taking your money I guess. We were touring a unit and the unit below was smacking the ceiling due to hearing us QUIETLY walking above. The leasing agent said they "don't mess with" them, and proceeded to stomp his foot on the floor in retaliation. They also leased this unit to someone while ignoring the nightmare that lives below, I wonder if the leasing agents disclosed that?? I could say so much more that I noticed in the 2 times we visited about the overall professionalism and helpfulness, but the takeaway here is it must be discrimination - we're a interracial young couple with piercings, tattoos, an alternative style and 2 young biracial daughters. Why would we waste valuable time and pay a fee to apply to something we could not afford? Just avoid this place. It may look nice, but they lack communication skills and professionalism. Notice how they respond from a generic script to the discrimination accusations, but like a human to praise LOL. Don’t worry, their competitor across the way took accepted us and it is...
Read moreWe moved in mid-December so it’s barely been one month of living here. *update 5 months in: our unit is gorgeous and management has improved its operations. Unfortunately, the garages and elevators are constantly out of service and being repaired but hopefully they’ll have that sorted out soon. Every complex will have its issues but we are hoping that since construction is finally complete, things will smooth out. I’ve increased the rating as things have improved around the community and we do genuinely love our apartment itself. *
Unfortunately, management has been incredibly unhelpful and bothersome with our renters insurance. We enacted a policy starting our move in day and since then I have gotten emails saying it is insufficient and incorrect. After providing them multiple copies of our ENTIRE policy (and explaining how GEICO underwrites their policies) I have received over 15 emails claiming that we are in violation of our lease agreement and they have now placed a fee charge on our account. They will not remove the fee after my requests to do so and still continue to send me these emails. Our personal liability amount is sufficient to the lease as well as the address for interested party and insurance has done all they can to assist us with providing copies and amending the policy to their wishes.
In addition, about two weeks into living here I was showering and the shower head fell and landed on my foot. I just had knee surgery so this was certainly not ideal. I opened a ticket for maintenance to come fix it and they came very quickly the next day. He was the sweetest man and replaced the shower head for us. While he was here, he explained these units are poorly made and he will likely be back for other things. He stated he has already replaced 6 washer/dryer units and they’ve not even been opened for a full year. This was concerning to say the least.
Then our furnace broke. It was 18° outside so we called the emergency line to get someone here to assess what was wrong. They came within an hour and a half and explained he didn’t have the proper tools and needed to go get them. We got a call later explaining he will now be coming back in the morning. From there, we were left in the dark and had to spend the night in our 54° apartment. I called the emergency line again and they said someone would call to discuss putting us up in a hotel for the night and we never got any further communications. It wasn’t until the next morning I had to go to the office and show them we were upset and now both sick that they called for maintenance to come to our unit. This was not a priority and it was incredibly frustrating to say the least. The furnace was fixed the next afternoon after having paid for our dog to go to a nearby daycare as it was too cold for her to stay while we went to work.
I am not one to leave scathing google reviews (especially in fear of retaliation) but I would highly suggest looking elsewhere for rentals until they can improve their community operations. We were so excited to move in and absolutely love our actual unit but the management of this complex has not been up to par, especially for the price we pay. The unit is gorgeous and the amenities (once open) will be wonderful to use. If management steps it up and corrects these issues as well as improves their communication, I would absolutely come and change this review but until then this is quite a lot for just one month of...
Read moreDO NOT BELIEVE THE 5 STAR REVIEWS!!! This place is a complete joke of a apartment complex and management companies are terrible. The lists go on and on of all the issues this place has. When we first moved in the original PMC was Grey Star. This PMC was terrible. Our first unit we moved into had (7206) had a terrible odor of mold and mildew with the humidity level of 65-70 all the time even with AC running. Come to find out 2 floors above flooded down to our unit. When maintenance couldn't figure it out, they ended up having us move into another building within 2 months with a 8 month old and a 2 year old. We we're told verbally and in email that it would be ok to park our enclosed trailer on the upper lot (auction barn) because they "owned the property" until the phase 2 started construction in the spring. A month later I received a call from the PD stating we have 24 hours to move the trailer or it will be towed. After doing research I found out that Radnor did not actually acquire the property yet! The PMC completely lied to us about owning the property! We have seen dogs urinating in the elevator on the carpet. If you have kids, don't even think about this place because it is completely unsanitary. Our 1 year old who was learning how to walk falling on his hands in the elevator and carpet hallways that have never been professionally steam cleaned with urine stains everywhere. Trash is always over full in the dumpsters outside and smells terrible especially in the heat. They also block the isles with cans from inside the buildings because they didn't design the parking lot correctly causing a safety hazard. Dont even think about living on the Costco side because they will wake you up every morning at 4 a.m. unloading trucks with the forklift slamming the dock plate going in and out of the trucks (sounds like a mini explosion). I was sleeping on an air mattress in our second bathroom to shelter from the noise. Come to find out from the town that this complex was built in a mixed commercial zoned area! If you have neighbors above you good luck sleeping because these apartments are trust built framed construction with no soundproof between floors other than bat insulation. They say it is non smoking but our neighbor above us smoked on her patio and dropped ashes on our one year olds clothes putting a hole in his new outfit. Parking absolutely sucks here because there are not enough outside spaces for the buildings and no assigned spaces outside. Had my brand new truck vandalized and the new PMC didn't care at all. I had the exact time of when it happened and the camera footage would have shown someone walking past the truck with an item damaging the tailgate but they said its for security reasons that they weren't willing to show me the footage!? We are residents here and you aren't going to show me camera footage of a common place that shows my truck parked of someone damaging it? This should really make everyone feel really safe and that they care about your personal property! The poor management and outright lies of this place has cost us...
