They are unorganized, unprofessional and liars. I went to the store on Tuesday September, 10th with hopes of buying a handgun. I sat around and waited 30+ minutes just for someone to come back to the store side to help me with that process. After Jim finally came in the store and sat at the computer I told him exactly what gun I wanted and what model I was looking to purchase and he explained to me that the gun I wanted wasnât available at the store but he could order it and I would have to pay for the full price of the gun and I was ok with that. So from my understanding he was ordering the gun that day and it would take at least 1 week to ship. But during the interaction he tried to sneak in a $30.00 charge and say one price and when I showed him the price of the gun on his website he said oh well I can do it for that price. I paid my money and by that Friday I called back to the store and spoke to Caleb who honestly had no idea or clue what I was talking about when I was talking about the gun I just purchased from the store and when he checked the orders in the cart he said, âAwee man it looks like the person you were dealing with didnât do what he was supposed to do on his end, he didnât push your order throughâ I asked, âwell why is thatâ he said, âsome employees here man.. you know how it is heâs just a little lazyâ and he even chuckled and Caleb reassured me that the gun would be ordered by him and it would be at the store no later than Wednesday September, 18. So here I am today I call the store and of course itâs Jim on the phone I am of course trying to figure out where my purchase is and he starts lying through his teeth talking about he explained to me the day I bought the gun that he doesnât start the shipping process for any guns not over $500 and Iâm simply asking him why he didnât tell me that the day I handed over my money and he continues to lie and say he told me that and heâs not going back and fourth with me and proceeded to hang up in my face. So I call back to talk to someone higher up of course itâs Jim again saying, âwell Iâm the store manager and anybody you talk to is going to say the same thingâ so I get put over to Caleb and heâs trying to lie and say he told me to call to see if the gun got to the store before I made a trip back to Cumberland when he told me, âif you want your money back before I order the gun you can get it back, but I promise the gun will get ordered today and will take two day shipping and be here no later than Wednesdayâ so if you want the run around of people wasting your time trying to cut cost a few dollars, lying about what they told you like you have a 5th grade education then this is your...
Read moreI recently completed my concealed carry course with Caleb at Queen City Armory, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The course was thorough and well-structured, covering all aspects of handgun ownership, operation, and concealed carry. This included essential topics such as safety, legal considerations, technical handling, and practical range training.
Both the classroom and range facilities were clean, modern, and designed with safety as a priority. The range, equipped with an Action Target system, was particularly impressive. This state-of-the-art setup offers a variety of scenarios that appeal to both novice shooters and experienced marksmen. Caleb and the rest of the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and approachable, answering all of my questions with patience and expertise.
Queen City Armory also boasts a well-curated selection of high-quality firearms and ammunition. While I found their inventory of accessories somewhat limitedâparticularly tactical gear, additional holsters, and sightsâI appreciate the practical challenges of maintaining stock for items that many customers might order online, especially with how customizable and unique accessories can be. That said, the accessories they do offer, such as VaultTek cases, are top-notch. Once Iâve completed the concealed carry and HQL process, I look forward to purchasing a firearm here and becoming a member of their range.
My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of printed resources for course participants. A one-page guide outlining the certification and recertification processes, including associated fees and steps for the HQL process, would be invaluable. While much of this information is available online, not all participants are tech-savvy or know where to look. Additionally, such a guide could help prevent common mistakesâlike forgetting to inform the fingerprinting agency whether prints are for CCW or HQLâwhich can cause unnecessary delays in the process.
Overall, Queen City Armory delivers a first-rate training experience in a professional and welcoming environment. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to enhance their knowledge and skills...
Read moreThese folks I would not describe as good salesmen. Responses to questions were curt, and accompanied by glares. Conversations amongst the staff were tinged with resentment, and when shown a firearm, they act more as a car salesman rather than a firearm dealer. One of the first things out of one staff members mouths was "Are you planning on taking this home today.", with a tone suggesting that they wanted nothing more than to have me leave the store. The only time I've every heard that line was buying a car, and that was one of the most miserable experiences I've had when trying to buy something. Everything that was said to me was dripping with condescension and disdain, say for a single staff member I didn't catch the name of. If you're looking to buy a firearm, pick somewhere else, even the local pawn shops treat you better than this place. Three Guys Guns and Mountain Maryland Firearms Training are filled with people who care about their customers. Either of those, or even a pawn show would be a better place to...
