I ordered a half Cheese half Pepperoni at 1:30 2/11/18. I arrived at Papa Johns around 2:05. When I got there the cashier was on the phone with a customer for over 5 minutes. I was starting to become impatient waiting in line. The cashier handled the call very professionally, and showed more patience then I ever would have. While he was on the phone I saw what I think was the manager cutting, labeling and putting pizzas in the box. I noticed him get very frustrated with himself, and heard him shout this was supposed to be "Chicago Cut" after he had made it a "Pie Cut". He told the guy making pizzas he needs another half cheese half pepperoni. Once the cashier got off the phone I told him if that was my pizza that was not cut Chicago I would be fine with that. He looked back and did not see my pizza and told me it was going to be a couple more minutes. At this point I'm extremely pissed. Another 10 minutes go by and then I realize how under manned they are. I watch how fast they are working. The guy working the pizza line is literally running and sliding while making pizzas. I can tell that the manager cares very much about his product by the way he acted when he cut a pizza the wrong way. I watched as the cashier showed extreme patience to a customer who called in asking a million questions with all the answers to their questions on the Papa John’s website. Finally it was about 2:20 (about 50 minutes after I ordered) the guy working the pizza line tells me my order is up and grabs 2 pizza boxes. I told him I only ordered 1 pizza he said they cut the first one wrong so it’s on us.
I must say the couple minutes I watched them work was amazing. The team truly cared, with only 3 people they did an outstanding job. They also showed that they will not settle with nothing but perfection by making a whole new pizza just because the cut is wrong. Keep up the good work Cumberland...
Read moreAs an honest review of the place, the pizza was good, the people there work decently enough, but honestly I had ordered three large pizzas, and they said it would be done in 25 to 30 minutes. I took their word for it. In 30 minutes I showed up to pick up the pizza. When I got there, they never even started making them yet. Granted they were very busy, but it took them 2 hours to finish my three large pizzas. I also made a mistake, because I didn't check the pizzas before I left when I got them. I expected when I ordered my three pizzas which were a bacon and onion pizza, a bacon chicken and ranch pizza, and a spinach pizza with no tomato, I got a bacon, chicken and ranch Pizza, a bacon and onion pizza, and a TOMATO Alfredo pizza; the opposite of what I asked for.
Papa John's: I will not give you one star, I don't dislike the pizza; you make good pizza, but try to make three large pizzas take less than 2 hours, and please listen to the orders...
Read moreI ordered from here yesterday evening and the pizza that they delivered to us was awful. I bought 2 NY style pizzas and spent over $40 on them plus fees for delivery and a tip. The bacon they put on one of the pizzas looked like it hadn't been cooked and was very fatty and gross and there were big chunks of it all over the pizza. The pizza was undercooked and very sloppy. The other pizza I ordered was an alfredo with steak and was very under done and was falling apart. It was cold and the cheese had slid over to one side in the box before they gave it to me. Horrible pizza. And neither one was cut all the way through. I had to fight with trying to cut them myself. I got a stomach ache from trying to eat it. Never had this issue here before but if they don't make it right I will never order from here again. I don't like wasting my hard earned money. The employees clearly did not care if we were happy...
