Yesterday, I went to the Southland Mall location to purchase a Sauvage cologne from the Dior vendor. A sales associate walked me to the Dior counter, and asked the Dior representative, Heather, if she would assist me with my purchase. Heather nodded her head in agreement, yet proceeded to have a conversation with her colleagues as I stood there. That is when another sales associate stepped in and asked Heather to help me. After, Heather told me the cologne costs $125, and I asked if she had a larger size. After a long pause, she hesitantly said, “yes, but that will be more money. It is $170.” After paying for the cologne, Heather put my purchase in a Macy's plastic bag. I asked her if I could get a Dior paper gift bag, since it was a Father’s Day gift. She looked at me, sighed heavily and said, “ Hold on. Give me a minute to check if we have one.” She then gave me the bag and the wrapping paper, so I could assemble the gift myself, and walked away rather than properly assisting me. When the security saw that I was packing the bag myself, they grew suspicious and started watching me closely, only adding to my embarrassment. Noticing this, the other sales associate stepped in once again to ask if I needed help putting everything together. I said “yes,” and when the sales associate turned to Heather, she immediately responded, “ I could help her after I help this customer.” Heather never came back to the counter and the sales associate helped me pack the gift.
Macy's prides themselves on great customer service and this employee’s actions did not reflect that. I strongly recommend that Heather be trained on proper customer service etiquette. My experience with her was humiliating, and has discouraged me from shopping at this...

Please stop bombarding customers with samples, questions and opinions unless asked. I completely understand and respect customer service, such as asking “do you need any help?” or “You should sample this.” ONCE and ONLY ONCE. But after I clearly stated that while I appreciated their help, but I was just browsing and would let them know if I needed any help, my partner and I couldn’t even hold a private conversation for a minute without being interrupted or even have our personal space invaded by desperate sales employees who clearly do not value their customer’s wishes to avoid confrontation. We respectfully stated over and over that we did not need any help, and that we were thankful. That didn’t change a thing.
A female employee grabbed my hand, stating that I was not able to use sample paper from one designer house to test a product from another house, seriously? What personal quarrel do you have with each other, and what does it have anything to do with Macy’s customers?
This is not the first time this happens. The only reason I even walked in here was because Sephora in JCPenny removed their fragrances. I miss being able to sample and test products without feeling uncomfortable or even forced into trying a product that an employee assumes everyone will enjoy. Disrespectful and rude. Avoid at all costs.
Once again, this review is specifically for the...

She came didn't look at me or said hello so I said hello she glanced over and had a smurk on her face.
