I am new to Miami and had to board my 2 dogs for 3 days. I have a 5 year old dachshund who has separation anxiety, is on meds and has had 2 surgeries to remove items from her stomach. I boarded them for the first time ever because I didn't know anyone to pet sit and thought they would be safe. The tech put a dog bed in the kennel after I told her the situation and not to put anything in the kennel that I didn't give them. She told me the dog ate the dog bed while she watched. I gave her instructions to give her extra meds and keep her in the kennel with my other dog. She did not tell me she was off the next day and when I called at noon the next day, she had not communicated the information. I spoke with the vet the next day and he agreed to xray her for free. Thank you. When I dropped the dogs off, the tech, Ali, said I could not pick them up until 5 the day I returned. I said I wanted to pick them up at noon and she agreed. When I called, she tried to refuse to allow me to pick them up. When I showed up to pick them up, they tried to charge me an additional $244 for 2 shots per dog that I was not told about and did not agree to. I provided shot records to show they were not due until Jan 2017. When I asked about it, I was told that it was policy to give them every 6 months. When I asked why my previous vets (all of them) only gave them once a year, Ali told me that it was their local policy. I said I would not pay for them because I showed my shot records and Ali told me the only thing they needed was a fecal exam, which I agreed to. In the end, I was not charged, but I was asked not to return. In summary, I took my dogs there to be safe and they put one of my dog's life at risk. She has previously had 2 surgeries to her stomach and I have been told that another surgery would kill her. I was treated rudely, lied to and my dogs were put in jeopardy. Don't use this...
Read moreIf i could give 0 stars I would. The staff that this place hires should be fired. I was there this afternoon and had purchased a Groupon beforehand. The lady at the front desk had asked me what I was there for and I told her I was there for the rabies tag and vaccine. She asked me if I wanted to draw blood or do the heartworm test and both times I responded "No". During the visit I noticed that the nurses were trying to draw blood from my dog. After the doctor had seen my dog, I informed her that I had a Groupon I would like to use towards this visit. She proceeded to tell me that I should've told her before because they gave my dog 2 extra vaccines which I did not ask for and was not informed about. I was charged $148 when I should've been charged $78 AT MOST. I asked the front desk lady why I was being charged that much and she told me that it was my fault and that I "failed to inform" her about my Groupon. She then marked my Groupon as used and refused to refund me any money although I told her I did not want any additional services. She yelled and proceeded to give attitude after being asked a simple question. I asked her to give me my dogs records and she took copies of everything and gave me the copies. As I was leaving I asked her to delete my number and to please not call me again. She proceeded to tell me "girl bye" and laugh. The staff should be reevaluated and should be fired for the unprofessional way of speaking towards clients/ customers. I won't be returning back to that place ever again and I wouldn't trust them with any animal whatsoever. If they have no issues doing things to animals without your consent who knows what goes on in the back if you ever were to leave them for any emergency. The front desk lady I believe is called Liz. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND WOULD NOT...
Read moreAvoid this place at all cost.Don't let the location fool you.Not only is the Dr. Rude and you can definitely tell there's something up just by his aura but this has been the second time I left one of my dog's there to be sitted for a few days on a business trip and have brought them home, noticing a complete change of behavior.Distant,Sad and worst of all....Both dogs, two different times in being left there, Both came home sick and with consistent blood in their urin and bowl movement. And I mean (Alot). If only my vet whom is the absolute best vet in Miami had boarding,My dogs would never have gone through this. I should've know by the way my dog responded to the staff the way she did when we walked in.Just like a child, Animals sense things that you don't see or feel. These people need to be investigated. There is something going on in there but because your animal can't speak..They get away with it.. To think that I paid all this money ( and they WILL charge you for things that are ridiculous) and mind you,My dog's have all vaccines and more. For my dog's to stay there to only come back home to me sick like this?!? Terrible! and now very costly because we now have huge medical bills. If you truly love your pet and take good care of them.Stay...
