I went there yesterday (03/17/19) and had a really negative experience. While I was waiting a group of guys walked up(maybe 5 or 6, all guys, maybe around 17 to 19 years old. Definitely too old to just be hanging out). They weren't even ordering anything. They were just loitering. They were absolutely friends with one of the employees, as they were just talking with him through the ordering window, loudly, so I KNEW they weren't ordering anything. I over heard their conversation because I heard them talking about me at some point. I didn't really care about that part, I just ignored them as they completely blocked the way and waited for my order. I was also the only person there at this point, just me, them, and the employees. I finally got my order (it really didn't take that long, but at this point I was uncomfortable and just wanted to get out so it felt like an eternity) and started walking to my car. At that point, one of these guys ASKED ME FOR A RIDE to the shell station. I'm 5'2" and am pretty small. These guys were all at least 6 foot. Why on EARTH would I give a ride to a strange man that I've never met? Why would the employee allow them to put me in not one, but TWO uncomfortable situations when I'm a paying customer and they're not even getting anything? I (obviously) said that I don't allow strangers in my car like ANY WOMAN WOULD and walked away as they laughed at me. I'm very VERY upset and that sucks because I actually REALLY liked their ice cream (which I ended up taking home because I was so uncomfortable) which is why I gave them two stars instead of one. The employees ABSOLUTELY need supervision. I really don't think it's fair at all that I was put in such an uncomfortable position and laughed at because I didn't want to give a strange man that I didn't know a ride and the employee should have told his friends to leave instead of hanging out with them at work. Very very unprofessional. I won't be back,...
Read moreFirst off after reading all the rave reviews for other Twistee Treats in the Houston area, I just KNEW I was in in for a treat. NOT! PLEASE donât waste your hard earned money. This place SUCKS! This will be our First & last time coming here! We ordered 2 hot dogs đ which they got (Both) of those wrong. One was supposed to have chili & mustard. They added ketchup plus onions which was not what I ordered. I also requested the other hot dog to have onions with mustard & relish. That one we received was Naked, just a plain bun & weiner. They have too many people working one little drive- thru window. The guy tried to give us someone elseâs ice creamđŚas well. If you decide to order an ice creamđŚcone then get ready to pay an extra .55 cents even for a cake cone that would be already included @any other establishment that sells ice cream. I understand an up charge for a waffle cone but DANG, a regular old cake cone, REALLY? To make matters worse, there is Absolutely no phone number on the receipt to complain. Now I see why! I had to look it up online & low & behold, it went directly to a voicemail. No live person to speak to. WOW. We wasted & I do mean wasted $30 for soft serve ice cream & hot dogs đ that you can get that tastes a heck of a lot better & cheaper about a mile & a half away @Sonic. So with all of this I say, go & try this place out if you want like I did because of the SUPER CUTE ice cream shaped building & judge for Yourself. Good Luck...
Read moreThis is the third time weâve come here. First time wasnât great due to wait time, ice cream was good. Second we ate our ice cream here, we waited a while to get our ice cream. I will not talk about service because I vaguely remember how service was. However, today was it and we wonât return. The guy taking the order looked confused, the kids (teenagers) were all messing around - saw this with my own eyes - there were about 5 people in there. Gave us the wrong flavored sample. There was a group of 4 other teenagers that came up to the window while us and another family were sitting eating their ice cream, they appeared to know one of the employees. They hung out loudy at the window cussing and carrying on. They were handed a waffle cone that was made in error and one of them smacked it out of the hands of somebody else and it went flying, to which more inappropriate words were said. One of them picked it up. They then walked to the side of the building (where we were sitting) and proceeded to follow a young lady that had walked out of the door, back in the door while acting like they were dumping out ice cream on her head. Not sure which employee they knew but this behavior is not okay at somebodyâs workplace, or it wasnât when I was younger. Employees need to act as though they are providing customer serviceâŚthat is the job they were hired for after all! We wonât return despite how good the...
