Alexander Mansion — Local services in Dallas

Went on Saturday at 615pm. Got there early for the pre-show lounge, which was really a cash bar set up inside the front door where we bought drinks then had to go back outside to wait and make room for others to get drinks. Weather was beautiful so this was fine. Drinks were great! We had gold tickets which probably helped here since we got drinks first but otherwise I’d say the lower tickets would be fine unless you really want chocolates and one extra drink. The drinks were all surprisingly good and they were strong, I didn’t even get my 5th one lol. It was crowded but a very friendly environment, everyone was having fun and we made it through all the rooms. We were done at about 8pm and would have stayed longer, but we had dinner reservations. They had scary elements that were very fun, the characters were on point and fun to interact with. The bartenders were ALL wonderful, working so hard but still incredibly friendly. It was like a really fun house party. I saw a reel about this and got tickets and expected it to be likely disappointing but it was a GREAT time. My hubby and I went with our 25 year old daughter and we all had a blast. Most attendees were in fun costumes but several were like us, just cocktail attire. But all were welcome. These people worked really hard to create a unique environment and then worked hard all night to keep the vibe going and they did such a great job! The entire experience was a waste of money. Loooooong lines leading to a disappointing experience. You definitely need to drink in order to be patient with the visit. There are only two areas to go through a haunted house experience in. One: the basement. Black lights and mirrors leading you to a costumed person…. Lame. The next upstairs: rooms with costumed people rushing you through. The point is like an escape room but they immediately give you the answer quickly in order to move you through like cattle. Two hours is not enough to get through the number of tickets they sell. If drinks were not served there would be a riot. Even the people we were in line with expressed the same evaluation. Idk I have mixed feelings about this event. The house over all is great! Very old school. The people working the event not so much. The security is very rude, we went for the house of spirits cocktail masquerade and the “ghosts” were rude and didn’t wanna interact. It was like we were bothering them.
