Iāve heard nothing but good things about Dr. Thrash; however, I was not able to ever get past making an appointment to see him. I made three calls today to his receptionist. During the first call I was told I needed to get an authorization from my primary care. I understood that. I called and got a notification in MyChart that I was approved. I called her back and she asked for an authorization number that was not listed on the letter. She quickly told me that she had other patients and that I should call back later. She was very rude about it. I thought, āOK sheās having a really bad day ā.I called my primary care again and got the authorization information and called her back a third time. She was immediately rude and asked if I had the information. I told her that I did and started giving it to her. She said, āWAIT, I donāt have your information up yet ā. At this point Iām wondering why Iām trying to give them my business. I gave her the authorization number and she asked for the number of visits. I told her it was not on the document and she told me that thatās why they have to wait for the fax to come in from the doctor. I advised her that I didnāt realize that they had to wait for a fax to come in from the doctor and that I had received notification through MyChart. I told her that they did fax it and she told me that they donāt have time to check their fax machine every minute of the day. At that point I realized that there are other options. Unfortunately her boss is probably never going to know how rude she was. If I wouldāve been told that information on the first phone call, I think things wouldāve been a lot easier. All she had to say was youāll need to get a prior authorization from your primary care and wait for the fax to come to us and then we will call and make an appointment with you. I hung up and I am now receiving another referral to a different doctor. This is not a process that I do daily. I would hope in the future that she understands that not everybody understands her needs and that she should be patient and explain herself better so sheās not frustrated when people canāt read her crystal ball.I was advised by my primary care physician to write a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePretty disappointed with my overall experience with this office. I tried so hard to be understanding with the different staff at this office (nurse, doctor, front office); however, almost every single time Iāve had to deal with them they disappoint me with their level of customer service. Itās been a month of me dealing with a certain issue Iāve been seeing Dr. Rose Knight about ā which Iāve had to consistently reach out to them for further assistance as my issue persists. Calls and e-mails do not get returned. Prescriptions to pharmacy do not get sent. I visited their Dallas office regarding this issue on two occasions. First time, very unpleasant experience with the care I received from the doctor and nurse. When I visited the second time (same issue), I had to wait over 40 minutes because of a front office mistake that couldāve been avoided by checking in with the patient rather than I having to inquire about the wait time. The visit itself took less than 5 minutes. On a different occasion, I was promised a call back from Dr. Knight (for the same issue) which never happened. Although Iāve previously worked with Dr. Thrash, who I have had great experiences with, this office overall and the various staff does not seem to care about the patients one bit. I will continue to work with them until my issue is resolved as they have billed my insurance and Iāve paid for their services, however, afterwards I will look elsewhere for a different dermatology office that prioritizes their patients needs. I would also recommend you seek...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started going to Dr. Thrash earlier this year and he has been a great doctor in every way I could imagine. He has been quick to identify, explain, and offer solutions to all of my problems or personal qualms with my skin.
The best thing about going to Dr. Thrash to me is that he is incredibly quick thorough and detailed. For example, after taking a look at some of my acne, he quickly gave me a run down of what I was looking at, what might be causing it, what my quickest solutions were, but then also told it to me straight that he recommended to put me on Accutane. I was worried about plenty of horror stories, but he worked just as quickly to give me all the information he could provide, and also tell me where I could find some neutral resources to do my own investigating as well. He actually even ENCOURAGED me to go do my own investigation and to come back to my next appointment with an answer.
Overall I look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Thrash and I'm glad to have him...
