Panera Bread — Restaurant in Dallas

Really disappointed. I came in today to order advertised value duets. I intended to order 2 value duets of chicken salad sandwich and wild rice soup for 5.99. My problem is that since the soup was apparently out and doesn't have a substitute for the value option, I am now obligated to order a full sandwich and 2 soups at full price instead of the advertised duet price. I addressed this with Lorenzo, a manager, content to tell me that there is nothing to be done... as he sat on a laptop in the dining room and ate his own meal. I guess I should mention that the registers are down and I also am obligated to order through the kiosk, where the first item I see displayed, is the duet... So, no service, nor attempt to assist, and left with the disappointment of being told there isn't a way to fulfill the promised value duet. I guess that Panera should really think about integrity, customer service, and a better way to retain a customer. I am content to leave and buy nothing. Maybe next time, your M.O.D. will be concerned about making the customer happy, supplying food for a paying customer instead of filling his gullet, and maybe expressing (at minimum) a little empathy.

Update, it has been 4 weeks since I made this post. I called the Northpark location, a manager there told me she would be notifying the GM of this location and the District Manager, via email. I haven’t been contacted. I called corporate just now to let them know. We’ll see if...

I had the worst customer service experience of my life here. Not only did they mess up the order but I had to call multiple times without resolution. I requested to speak to the manager several times. The first time they never picked up the phone, the second time I was left on hold for fifteen minutes without answer, the third time after requesting a manager I spoke to a female who was unable to resolve the issue then later handed me over to the actual manager. She said his name was Lorenzo but he called himself Ronnie. He was so rude and unprofessional. He told me he was busy and didn’t have time to take care of my issue. Then when I brought up protocol because he placed bread without wrapping just thrown into a bag with bags of potato chips that had been in the shelf and not sanitized he immediately hung up on me. Considering we are in the middle of a pandemic I don’t believe this is their protocol. I again called back and when I requested the manager he answered and I told him hello I’m the customer you hung up on and yet again he immediately hung up on me. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. Ronnie the manager should have been able to resolve this instead of making the situation worse and hanging up in me. I will never go to this location and I will be sure to inform everyone I know of my experience. Customer service is everything and this manager definitely does not...

Only a one star because I can’t give them zero! I’ve visited this location today being my second time when we asked one the the employees to clean the only booth available so we can sit down and eat before our food came out mind you...theres like 3-4 dirty tables. When the employee came around the corner he mumbled under his breath “well why would you sit there” (thinking I probably wasnt going to hear him) this immediately infuriated me because it shouldnt matter why I sat where I decided to sit at I paid for my meal and choose where I feel comfortable and where my family and I could fit! He rudely asked us to move out of the way so he can clean the table. I explained to him the reason we sat where we sat was due to the fact no other table was available when we wanted to take a seat and avalanche for 4 people. He responded “well there is other tables” “but i dont mind cleaning this one” If you dont like your job please dont come to work nobody should have to go into your restaurant and feel unwanted and be put in a position were because I asked you to do your job and clean a table your upset!
