Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Dallas

Upon walking in, I felt like I was in a true authentic Sub shop!!! I knew what I wanted before I walked in, I had to try their Reuben, and they're Italian sub. Both subs were excellent!!! But the Italian sub really ranked high on my personal charts!!! An Italian sub (hero, Grinder) is an art form, or should be!!! Hitting on the right combination of meats,bread and cheese is what makes this an art form!!! To me a good Italian sub should be eaten plain!!!! No lettuce tomato, mayonnaise or mustard !!!! Only a few good pickle spears( another thing I'm really picky about),or some hot pickle relish. Anyways I let them make the sandwich their way, it did have mayonnaise on it, but hey I'm a firm believer in mayonnaise on any sandwich, just usually not on my Italian sandwich but this Italian sub was good the way they make it, "their way"!! Easily the best I've had anywhere near here, including most of Charlotte!!!! The service was great here, they had 5 or 6 people behind the counter and they all worked well together. They do hand cut their french fries here which I can appreciate!!! On their menu it said love at first bite and it was too for me!!!! I'm going back again tomorrow for lunch and get me another Italian all for myself, and I'm trying their fries also!!!! I truly highly recommend this place for an awesome sub...

My son and husband picked me up from the airport. I hadn't eaten much in a few days and we were all hungry. My husband spotted Penn Station and we stopped in to eat. I am a vegetarian. I ordered the Artichoke sandwich. My son and husband ordered meat sandwiches. I ordered first. The lady that took my order asked if I wanted them to clean off the grill before they made my sandwich. I was so shocked at her thoughtfulness and courtesy. During our meal, they stopped to ask if we were enjoying our meal and if everything was to our liking. This is my go to place for lunch when I am working in Gastonia or Lincolnton. The employees are always so friendly and smiling. You can tell they love their manager and their jobs. The manager here treats the employees with respect and has trained them well. The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh. The manager is always out working with her crew. If you haven't tried penn station yet now is the time. Till the end of the month you get a regular size sub (about 8") a drink and a small fries. All for 13.49. they also have the smaller size and the big boy to. You can always trust my reviews to guide you where to eat!
