I hate to do this. I really do. I am livid. I had an 8 AM appointment with Jodi. I showed her a picture of the style that Bernice did which was FLAWLESS!!!! Jodi started with the shampoo and I was shocked that she was done so early. I have super thick hair so there’s no way that you can do a proper shampoo that quick. I didn’t say anything because maybe I didn’t know what I was talking about.. NOT. I’m not an expert on curling hair but I assume if I show you a picture then that’s all I need to do right? Apparently not. She proceeded to ask me are the curls in or outward. I have no clue so I think I said inward. She starts curling tiny sections of my hair. She only made it two 1/4 of my hair before I corrected her and told her that that hair was straightened out completely with small curls added in. She straightened it out and move on to the rest of the hair. I left in my hairs seemed relatively decent but I wasn’t completely happy. It’s already done so what more can I do and I also had to leave for work at 11. I GET HOME AMD MY HAIR IS A MESS. Completely flat on one side and Poofy as hell on the other. Not enough product added. I feel is though she could’ve took her time to make sure that my hair was properly blow dried is well. I felt like it was rust and almost no Kierrah was put in it at all. Here I am, just had a fresh blowout at 8am and now at work for 11am I had to put my hair in a ponytail until I could go home and fix it later. I do not pay to have my hair done to fix it myself. The point is for me to not fix it. I am natural and I feel like this was a complete waste of damage on my hair. I’ve never had to put my hair in a ponytail because it was so terrible after a blowout. NEVER. I was pissed. And I still am. It’s Halloween weekend and I don’t know what I’m going to do sing that my blowout normally last move for a couple of days almost a week. This one is on its second Day as of right now and it feels is though I’ve had it a week and a half. Highly dissatisfied. Highly disappointed. I won’t be back, to Jodi at least...
Read moreI NEVER leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I feel the need to share the customer service I received at the Dallas NorthPark location. The stylist and blow out was fine, however, the front desk left me livid, which is hard to do to me....I’m typically very forgiving and easy-going about services everywhere I go.
I had 4 appointments booked, but they only had 3 scheduled on their books. So one person didn’t get their blowout (who drove from over an hour to get there might I add). The front desk hardly apologized and took no responsibility for the mess up. They tried to say it was my fault for not clicking the confirmation in the “friendly reminder” email when in fact I DID confirm through the email AND I called to confirm and add extensions to one of the appointments. They kept trying to say I must not have confirmed through the email and that’s why this happened...if you think about it, that makes no sense because the confirmation email comes AFTER you book your appointment, so are they trying to say if their confirmation went to the spam folder and someone didn’t see it the appointment they made is voided? Sounds like they were just pulling for excuses...anyway...they basically just gave me an “oh well” and told me to go back to my appointment while my sister was left out of the services. I can understand there may have been confusion and a sense of being frazzled in the moment on their end, however, after the appointment absolutely nothing was said to me to apologize or attempt to fix the mistake. The manager kept his head down “working” and wouldn’t even make eye contact. All their fault or the drybar headquarters fault since Northpark doesn’t actually have a phone and the drybar rep I spoke to doesn’t actually do anything in regards to your appointment even though that’s the only way you can communicate. So at the end of the day, there was no responsibility taken, no apology and absolutely no customer service. So...
Read moreI've visited many drybars, but this is my first visit to this one. We had a group of 4 and had shockingly different experiences. Your experience is very dependent on your stylist. Everyone's hair in the end looked pretty good, but the customer service was wildly different. In our group we had great, mediocre, and terrible experiences.
Pros: -Lots of spots and you can book pretty last minute -Easy online booking especially for those who have drybar accounts -Relatively affordable way to do your hair for a special event or just a nice treat -Valet parking is covered and right outside their entrance -You will likely leave looking fabulous -There's a space in the back for 4 people if you have a group of 4 that can be fun to be together in -Convenient location (in North Park right off 75)
Cons: -Feels like a gamble. Unpredictable and varied service (best thing is to find the person you like and become a regular here). -Front desk greeter is not very welcoming and your first impression -Limited space and seating in waiting area (if there's a lot of people waiting to be called back) -They ask what you want to drink at check in but never provide it to you (you can ask your stylist again and she might oblige). Only 1 of us got a drink because she asked again/reminded them.
I totally understand why this place has both 1 star and 4 star reviews. You might leave with the best experience ever, both feeling and looking good, or you might leave feeling terrible because they were rude and rushed.l and you spent a good money on a...
