Free People — Local services in Dallas

Most of the girls in the store are down-right snobby. My mom and I are frequent customers and normally when we go in there together we feel a lot of hostility towards us. My mom buys a lot online, but ends up having to return items when they don’t work (understandable) and every single time she asks me to do it for her because she’s afraid that the employees will give her a hard time (like they always do when she returns stuff.) When we went in there today, they asked my mom how many items she was taking into the dressing room- maybe this is a new policy, but we’ve never been asked that before so she felt like she was being singled out.. Last but not least, when we were checking out I asked to get an extra bag, and the girl scoffed and said “Sure, but normally you have to buy something to get a bag. That’s just our company policy.” This is after my mom spent over $600 on clothes- yes I personally didn’t buy anything, but my mom and I spend a LOT of money in there on a regular basis. I have been frequently shopping at this store for the past few years as I live in the area and I’ve had so many wonderful experiences here- today was completely different and disappointing. If you are minority dont come to this store, save yourself the experience of being treated less than ykw. When my mother and I came in to the store no one greeted us, yet the white ladies that came in after us were welcomed. I didn’t think much of it until after when I was shopping around the store this older white lady went around asking everyone else around me(who just so happened to be white) if they needed any help, she even made eye contact with me as she was doing this and still avoided me. Hands down, my favorite Free People location. This store is beautiful, big, clean and has an incredible selection of clothing and accessories that are organized well and easy to shop. The employees here are so incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgable which is such a nice change from so many other stores. Lauren is one sales associate who always goes out of her way to help customers (she has helped me both in person in the store and via phone) and Kylie (the manager) is absolutely great.
