Do NOT let RICO, the owner, waste your time or deceive you. If you’re an upcoming stylist looking for opportunity, this is NOT the place. I was promised two free weeks to get started, but that turned out to be a complete lie.

I was on medical leave due to a broken arm and had to temporarily shut down my business across all social platforms, including Google—which of course affected my clientele. Rico seemed understanding at first, like someone who supported small business owners and their hustle. But instead of following through on his word or showing basic human decency, he judged my situation and didn’t even allow me to finish the second week.

I went out of my way to be reliable—even putting my dying grandmother on hold to prioritize showing up for this business. I spent hours updating all my platforms with his address, and commuted almost daily by bus from Fort Worth to downtown Dallas just to make this work. It’s clear he’s a desperate business owner trying to keep his shop afloat by any means necessary — even if it means wasting your time and energy. His actions showed no integrity, and not keeping his word was a major red flag.

Don’t fall for the “free two-week trial” pitch. It’s an unwritten policy that holds no weight. Save yourself the frustration and find a salon that values professionalism, contracts, and actual support for their stylists.

I had a highly disappointing experience working with Rico, the owner. If you’re a Loctician looking to grow or find a new salon home, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. There is zero professionalism or business structure in place. No contracts, no written agreements — just empty verbal promises that mean nothing when it comes time to follow through.

Not the greatest when it comes to kids. Went to the back to school event and literally felt like I was at the weeds man’s spot, it smelled so loud in that shop you would think they was sparking up right in there.
