I had a simple question about a product, and after five emails, I never received a clear or accurate answer. By the third email, I was given a completely made-up response that turned out to be incorrect. Finally, on the fifth email, they told me to ask the manufacturer directly—which I did, making me wonder why I ever reached out to Kirby Allison in the first place.
The whole reason I wanted to buy from Kirby Allison was because I watched their YouTube video at S.T. Dupont, but these $1,500 lighters are available everywhere. Their lack of effort in getting me the correct information cost them a sale and a customer for life. Not only did I end up buying from a different retailer, but I would never purchase anything from them again due to this frustrating and dismissive experience.
