Sweet Rice had an amazing atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The open windows allowed the sunlight to come in and made the area very spacious showing how clean it was. There was ample seating with plenty of space. We were greeted with smiles and presented with the menu. They have various options including vegan and I ended up going with the Lao Heavenly Beef Jerky as an appetizer. It was brought out promptly and looked and smelled delicious. The presentation was nice, and neat and tasted even better. The only downside was that it was greasy, which I do not expect in my jerky. I then followed that up with the Lao Spicy Sausage. Now I cannot say anything bad about this dish. The homemade sausage had a juicy bite and was flavored with hints of rosemary and lemon garlic. It wasn’t as spicy as I thought it should have been but it was still very good. The prices are average for a restaurant around this area starting at two dollars for drinks and up to fifteen dollars for an entree. I recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again.

I pass by this resturant whenever I go to Dallas Love Field. The building catches the eye so I wondered if the food would be delicious. I ordered the first thing on the menu the Thai Basil at #5 spicy. I assume my heat tolerance is alot higher than most as the majority of reviews I've read stated #3 was super spicy.. The heat level at #5 reminded me of biting raw jalapeños.. Just a slight heat kick nothing over the top. It was okay flavor wise but I was thrown off by the addition of baby corn and the absence of a fried egg. So it's fair for me to say this isn't "authentic". It was okay though not bad but not good nothing memorable. If you're hungry and want a spin on your usual Asian eatery I'd say give it a try. EDIT*** After writing this review I was going to order a Thai coffee with milk for the road.. I found out through inquiry that they do not use condensed milk but use whole milk !! That is sack religious ! I've taken the liberty to deduct two stars making this 3 star review 1 star ! Horrible !

First time there, I give them 4 out of 5 stars! They just opened their doors and definitely have some kinks to work out, but the food (at least my order of Beef Lo Mein, spicy level 2) was delicious! Note on the spicy rating... 2 is considered "a little spicy," I would say it's "a little more than a little." If you're sensitive to spice, stick with a 1 or none. Where they lost 1 star from me is simple, wait time. From the time I placed my to-go order to when I walked out the door was 30-minutes. There were at least 7 others waiting for to-go orders and a few tables with multiple people where one guest had their meal while the others were still waiting. I'll be back, but will give them some time to get their rhythm!

I am an employee at the hotel next to sweet rice. It is really the only place I eat while at work. I have simple taste and always order the same meal. I alway order extra chicken for protein reasons. To be honest, every single person that comes into the hotel, I refer them to sweet rice...until now! A coworker and I order our meal and go in to eat at about 8:30 pm. As I'm eating my food, I notice there is hardly any chicken. I take the meal to a young lady and explain the chicken is not there. I go through the meal with a fork and move all what chicken is there to the corner of the container. As she looks at what I'm doing, she tells me that the cook said he added extra chicken. The portion amount is not even a regular portion let alone extra. She continues to tell me what the cook said instead of what I am showing her. By this time, my appetite is gone and I go sit down and talk to my coworker. I understand it was late. Maybe they did not feel the need to cook and wanted to use the last of what they had. It's not fair and I asked for the number so I can call tomorrow and speak with the owner. I will not be sending any other guest of the hotel...

I was treated so poorly by Elle that I left my take out order on the counter and ask for my money back. The situation was that my order was place before the Latin customer that came in afterwards. A childs fried rice. However, they were seated and and served two appetizers. The Asian couple already seated before them had not been served. Matter of fact they were in the establishment before myself and the Latin couple. Finally, I asked why the Latin customers got served before everyone else's. Elle replied yours is coming. Once I got my food and said Thank you she said "uh huh." I repeated myself and she said "uh huh" again. For that reason I asked for a full refund and she said okay. Wow! no sense of savinging the customer for this great business. Why? Because having the best interest of the business isn't synonymous with cheap labor! The ego that comes behind the statements, "they are doing the jobs that you all don't want to do," is creating a biased and prejudice attitude towards us! And overt racism towards African American co workers, peers and customers is totally taking root in every place of business where the staff is predominantly...
