Stepping into Grif's Western Inc. for the first time felt like being transported straight into the heart of cowboy country. As someone who has always admired the rugged charm of the Western lifestyle but had little experience with it, I was both excited and a bit overwhelmed by the sheer variety of goods on display.
The warm, rustic atmosphere was immediately welcoming. Rows of leather boots, some intricately stitched with colorful designs, lined the walls. Hats of every shape and size perched on shelves, each with its own character and story. But what caught my eye first were the jackets—soft, supple leather in every shade of brown and black imaginable. I had been on the lookout for a quality leather jacket for some time, and this seemed like the perfect place to find one.
A friendly staff member, sensing my fascination, approached with a warm smile. She introduced herself as Karen and offered to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Her knowledge was impressive; she explained the differences between various leathers and cuts, and even shared stories about the brands they carried. It was clear that she wasn’t just selling products—she was sharing a passion.
After trying on a few jackets, I found one that fit like a glove. It was a classic brown leather piece with a timeless design that I knew would only look better with age. Karen helped me pair it with a stylish hat, and I couldn’t resist picking up a belt with a beautifully crafted buckle to complete the look.
What really set Grif's Western Inc. apart, though, was the sense of community. As I was checking out, another customer struck up a conversation with me, sharing tips on how to care for my new jacket and where to find the best horseback riding trails in the area. It was a small moment, but it encapsulated the friendly, welcoming spirit of the store.
Leaving Grif's, I felt like I had not only acquired some fantastic new gear but also a deeper appreciation for the Western lifestyle. I knew I’d be back—not just for the high-quality products, but for the genuine sense of connection and camaraderie that Grif's Western...

Later, he was looking at his transactions from his bank and noticed they charged him $195.77!! So i called monday morning around 9 and pressed the option for the corporate office and a man Tony answered. I told him the situation and he said he was going to transfer me to the feed dept. I said the website says they don't open until 10. He assured me they were there and transferred me. I quickly explained the situation and the man said, "oh.. yea, we noticed like an hour later and we didn't have your phone number". I said well he has an account there, you ask for his name whenever he goes there. He insisted, they only kept names.. Weird.. Anyway i asked why didn't you void the charge if you noticed within an hour? He said it was too late. I let him know that is not true and I know this because of the multiple merchants I have had. Long story short, I asked to be transferred back to Tony.. Tony assured us it would be handled immediately and we would be called back within a couple hours. I offered to pay the $19.57 over the phone right then and there and he refund the 195.. He said he'd call back. I made sure he had my number as well as my husbands. I told him that if it's easier for him, my husband is actually on his way to the bank to dispute the charge, and we can just chargeback.. He said no, no,no.. I will handle it. My husband made the bank aware, but did not charge back. Well today, 3 days later, we never received a call back. So i called, opted for Corp., Tony answered.. I explained we never got a call back. He told me to hold on while he handles it.. when I asked why wasn't this handled already, he responded in a very rude tone "look lady, do you want me to fix it or not". I simply said no, that's ok.. We will just chargeback through our bank. I was appalled at how I was spoken to by someone at the "Corporate office". They...
Read moreThe place was nice and the staff was very attentive. Unfortunately, they have a no return policy, only an exchange or store credit. No exceptions, even if you bring the merchandise back within an hour of perchase with tags attached.
The manager evidently does not have the authority to make any exceptions. But evidently, she is given the green light to yell at the patrons in front of everyone. My wife called her and explained the situation to her. The manager got snide with my wife, so my wife got snide back. When we arrived at the store, I went in to speak to the manager and was greeted with was your wife the one that yelled at me. I told her that I witnessed the incident, and she did not yell at you, but she got snide with you. So evidently, she felt justified to yell at me in front of the clientele. Not to mention telling me that it was a busy day, as if that's a bad thing. And then to finish it off with she has a rodeo to attend that she doesn't want to be late for. I took the store credit and spent it the following day, and I probably won't be going back all because of 1 bad apple.
In short, you can go to Boot Barn 15 minutes away and get the same quality of boots with a 30-day money back policy. They have more...
