I had the absolute worst customer service experience at the DICK'S Sporting Goods Dedham location, and I feel compelled to share. The manager, Whitney Brunet, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I placed an order online, but when one of my items got cancelled, I called to ask why. Whitney's response was shocking—she literally said, "Well, it's not my freaking fault it got cancelled. We don’t control our inventory; if a customer has the item in hand, it won’t update."
How a manager can talk to a customer like that is beyond me. But it didn’t stop there. She hung up on me after I explained how important it was to get my order, especially since it was Christmas Eve. I called back and was transferred to her again, and this time, she told me, "I cancelled your reservation because it’s busy today, and you don’t understand how a cancelled order works. You’re no longer welcome at this location because of how you spoke to me."
All I had done was ask if they could check their inventory again. I could tell she was overwhelmed, but I should never have been spoken to like that. She kept hanging up on me when I called back, refusing to give me her name until I had to ask another employee.
I will never return to this location, and I’m opening a case with corporate to address her behavior. No customer should ever be treated like that, especially not...

Then the shoe department. I guess the staff isn't getting paid much. You, the customer have to seek out the associate similar to hide & seek. If you're lucky to be assisted don't count on any suggestions if your choice isn't available.
