Today was a good day at both Michaels locations I went to! The 1st location was in the Bridgewater Falls shopping center located in Hamilton (Fairfield Township) in Butler county, Ohio. I had ordered a buy online, pickup in store and thankfully, they had it and my order wasn't canceled. Yippee! The 2nd reason was due to receiving storage, where I had removed all the contents from the box, so I could recycle the boxes right away. When I started putting them all together, one of the units had a drawer that was cracked all along the bottom. I only had an online receipt. One of the managers did a wonderful - go beyond the job - to see if they had another one. I mean, they had a truck in that day, and she went out to the truck to check... Usually employees just say it may be on our truck, but it hasn't been unloaded yet. But she went beyond & actually checked. They only had the rainbow colored drawers and I preferred the clearish- white drawers. That type appears to be out locally. So then she offered a merchandise return card that I can use in-store at any Michaels store. Which is fine, because I shop Michaels all the time, especially when they have great deals! đ
The 2nd location was the in the Waterstone Shopping center that is located in the Mason/Loveland area of Warren County, Ohio. I had taken a sibling to a Dr's appointment and after her appointment was done she suggested we stop at that Michaels. They had their Hot Buys on sale! Regular price is $19.99 each - but they are on sale for only $4.99 - which is an awesome price PLUS there was an extra 20% off all purchases for regular & sale prices and the Hot Buys where not a doorbuster! Whoop whoop!
OH and not only new 12x12 pads of Hot Buys, but now the Hot Buys not only have coordinating solid paper pads, but now there are stamp sets, ink sets and sticker books! Whhhaaat?!? Yes! All Hot Buys!    Read moreSo micheals is usually a store that i experience great customer service with. Im not usually the kind of person to write negative reviews but today the cashier was beyond awful :(. So i was in line checking out and another customer was confused about the price of something so she went back to double check, while she was walking back the cashier emily spoke through her microphone to another staff member snickering about the customer and the things that she was saying about the customer were beyond awful, i was honestly shocked she was speaking about a customer like that in front of another customer. I honestly felt really bad for the customer she was snickering about because she was definitely elderly and seemed like a sweet woman. I got some acrylic paint that was labeled to be on sale, and when the register didnât apply the clearence discount I said something to emily- and she got extremely rude and basically told me I was trying to lie and scam for a deal- so i walked back and took a picture of the deal and she said no thatâs not the same paint and i showed her and she still said no. So another employee came to help (thank god) and she double checked and it was the same paint and she told me someone mislabeled the clearance section. Thatâs fine, just donât make me seem like a thief or a liar for saying that it says its on sale when it clearly is labeled that it is. Throughout this whole time I had been super respectful and considerate and smiley and she met me with nothing but absolute rudeness.    Read moreI was in there last week and I had a %50 off coupon and a %30 of entire purchase not including sale items. I got the baking stuff that I needed and I think 1 or 2 things that I got wasn't on sale the rest was. So she scanned my card number for membership on my phone and i tried to hand her my paper coupon but she INSISTED on using my phone that she was having a difficult time with (why create more issues and frustrate yourself more I'm trying to hand you a paper one) but nonetheless, it finally scanned. Then I asked her to scan the %30 off one she she refused. I asked her to please just scan it anyway and she went to scan it then pulled back the scanner slammed it on the counter moved closer to my face and stated very loudly and RUDELY "I WILL NOT SCAN IT! Everything you got is on sale and its NOT GOING TO WORK!" Now mind you there was a line full of people that saw this and after that I asked her to stop talking to me b/c she just kept going and going and going I then asked her again to Please stop talking to me. She finally did and I ended up leaving with no receipt and I will NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. The employees are RUDE and could care less about their customers especially a lady back in framing I don't know how to pronounce her name but its starts with a D.
