Most of the professors are great and my counselor Mike Rusk was the best ever!! I only have 2 complaints for professors out of my 60+ credit hours which is pretty good. But the reason I am giving a poor rating, is because of the administration staff. Everyone from the cashiers office to administration are extremely rude and no one knows what they are doing. Not only did my loans go through at the beginning of the semester, (which I know isn't completely their fault) but their tuition rates have gone up to extreme amounts the past few semesters I have been here. They neglected to tell me about my loans and I found out when they dropped my classes. Then I waited 3.5 hours in line at the cashiers office so that they can tell me I owe $600 to cover the rest of tuition. I reluctantly handed over my credit card and was promised that everything was now taken care of and I can attend classes with no interruptions. I proceeded to file for graduation the next week as this was my last semester. The school has been limiting courses more and more and the course book has changed since I started 2 years ago. After fighting back and forth through emails about which classes were obsolete (thats right, they were not going to accept 2 of my courses, one of which I needed to graduate) I finally got them to accept my communications course which I took 3 semesters ago and was in the old course book but not in the current book. The head of graduation applications assured me as long as I pass these courses this semester, I will be able to graduate. Well, now it is the end of the semester! I am very excited to graduate and get my diploma.....They won't let me get a copy of my final transcripts and they won't mail me my diploma because...SURPRISE! I have a balance on my account that I was never informed of. I called the cashiers office, spoke to a supervisor, and he said they have been mailing bills to me, I confirmed my address with them and told them I have never received anything informing me of this balance and that the lady assured me I had paid everything I was supposed to. The supervisor told me there was nothing he can do and he thinks the lady did the math wrong and gave me a wrong total. Seriously!?! The staff at a college can't do basic math??? Absolutely ridiculous! Don't go to this school. There are plenty more options with cheaper community college tuition and smarter, less rude, and more professional staff I'm sure... unless you want to spend more time arguing with admissions and the cashiers office than in your classes, then its perfect for you! Otherwise, the campus is beautiful! I would suggest going to Metro or UCD, the tuitions are about the same now and half of my classes were mixed between the...

Run. I went into a deep depression after my experience with this institution. These people don't care about you. They pretend to be full of diversity and SUPPORT, and in reality they just exploit and take advantage of people. Advisors? What a joke. I notified teachers, staff and went to my advisor multiple times to discuss dropping courses, that I was in a bad living situation (got a roommate to save money and focus on school) and was about to be homeless. My advisor insisted I keep them. My teachers were more empathetic but they too wanted me to stay. It doesn't reflect well on them if I drop. These courses were paid for with federal grants. I failed 2 of them. Even though, I was technically homeless, I decided to stay in school for a second semester, only 2 classes and online. WHAT A JOKE. It is set up in the least interactive way possible, in a way that you hardly discuss anything, where students are required to respond to only 2 students so you don't really have a discussion with your class and your teacher is basically absent for most of the time. Students were "discussing" the Kardashians in HISTORY! ?!?! I was so angry and really defeated at this point. I tried to drop these classes before the 2 weeks but I couldn't. I was blocked from making any changes because they hadn't received my medical records. This was pre pandemic Spring 2018 too. I was fully vaccinated btw and it was quite easy to obtain these records but couldn't make it to campus in enough time to drop. I was homeless, sleeping in a rental car, and to top it off, I was robbed leaving me with no phone which I needed for work. This might not seem that important but when I filed my 2018 taxes, the state took my refund no questions asked because the school thinks I owe them for the courses I failed. I reached out a year later within the time to appeal, wrote a long letter detailing all of this only to be asked "Well, what do you want us to do?" I had already made it pretty clear in my letter. She asked me to write more. I never got my money back and this school still thinks I owe them when they failed to give a proper education and the support their students need in order to succeed.
