I visited the spa in 2023 and wrote a 1-star review about the experience my friend and I had there. The manager called me and invited my friend and I back to have a "re-do" spa experience but advised that we wait a little while as the spa was being remodeled. Well, we just had our "redo" experience this past weekend, and let me tell you, if I could leave 0 stars, I would. My friend and I have visited spas all over the United States and have a high expectation for quality in amenities, services, the menu, and certainly, the customer experience from the spa staff. Upon arrival, we checked in and I needed to purchase a swimsuit because I accidentally forgot mine. I brought the swimsuit to the counter, and they took the tags off it, handed it to me and said it would be charged to me when I checked out. We proceeded to go into the spa and use the amenities. I didn't notice any difference from before the remodel. The spa is still very small, with a whirlpool, a steam room, and 1 relaxing area with 4 small beds to lay. Unfortunately, in the relaxing room, there are people talking loudly and you can also hear toilets flushing from elsewhere in the spa. So, if you plan to use that - bring noise- cancelling headphones or your earbuds, because it's not quiet or relaxing. My two services were quite good, and my sports massage was one of the best I have ever had. Unfortunately, that couldn't make up for what was still yet to happen. When I came out of my last treatment, my friend was visibly upset because she couldn't find me and was told by the spa staff that my services ended at 11:30 and they didn't know where I was. My second treatment didn't even start until 12:00, so I was "missing" for 90 minutes. How could they not know where I was when I was clearly getting a massage in their spa? My friend spends 90 minutes looking for me, calling me, going to the pool to find me, and worrying that something had happened. We decided to leave and when we checked out, we were both charged full price, even though we were invited back with a free 80-minute service that was in our "notes" and we had confirmed this upon scheduling the appointments and when we checked in. My friend was told that she didn't have free service, even though we had discussed it at length with the spa before coming. She was made to explain why she gets one free service and basically had to argue with the staff to get her credit. In the meantime, they say they voided the original charges and charged us the correct amounts. About an hour after I left, my phone started ringing and the spa calls me 4-5 times and sends multiple emails telling me I didn't pay for my SWIMSUIT!! The swimsuit that I handed to them and that they took the tags off. So, I fill out some kind of form they sent me and then they proceed to charge me for the swimsuit multiple times! It was a $220 swimsuit! Meanwhile, they are still harassing me that I haven't paid so I send them screenshots of my credit card statement showing that I was not only charged but charged multiple times. In the meantime, my friend tried calling the hotel GM to talk to someone and it took 3 days to get a call back. Then the GM tells her that the spa staff should have put notes in our account regarding all of this, and since he doesn't see anything in there... he really can't do much. Listen, we don't even want anything. We don't want free stuff- I never want to step foot into the Four Seasons Spa ever again. We both work full-time and are parents and this is a special way we treat ourselves and it's an absolute expense that is worth it for an amazing experience. However, when your amazing experience turns into a headache after headache, then throw in disrespect, mistakes, no accountability and accusations - this is the FOUR SEASONS. What on earth?!? If you have high expectations and would like to be treated well because you are spending your hard-earned money to have a nice time - then do not even think about coming here. Save yourself with added stress that will make you feel like you need...
Read moreI was so excited to learn that the Four Seasons had started carrying Biologique Recherche products since the only other spa in Colorado that I know of that carries such products is Strata Integrated Wellness Spa in Colorado. Rebecca, the director of the spa down at Strata is a BR ambassador and one of the best of the best. Unfortunately, it is impossible to schedule with her so I was happy to see a closer spa would be carrying these lovely products.
I was extremely disappointed after my BR Cold Therapy Facial at the Four Seasons. This was not what I have experienced previously from other BR spas. I was initially skeptical when my aesthetician failed to inquire on what my skin concerns were prior to the facial, I had even brought all my skincare products so you can identify if any products needed to be changed, added or removed (this is something the brand preaches that skincare needs change seasonally. However, unlike other BR spas, I realized that perhaps this spa was not trained to customize skin treatments according to different skin types, etc. I would warn other people who know the brand not to expect BR's signature microcurrent therapy. I should have researched the facial I had scheduled; however, I was just so excited about them carrying the product. Although, the aesthetician seemed to be interested in learning the product, he was in no way an expert which is something I noticed other BR spas pride themselves on. My 80 minute facial was below average(I did break out more afterwards). At the end of the facial the aesthetician did mention he would have probably just done their fire and ice facial on me since my hormonal acne was a primary concern. Why wouldn't you tell me this in the beginning? In the end, this Cold Therapy is not worth your $320 + tip dollars, if you have the opportunity go to Rebecca down in CS, she is a BR ambassador and will spend almost 3 or more hours reviewing both internal and external factors that could be affecting your skin, doing the most amazing facial countouring to your skin (hello needleless botox), using microcurrents which are amazing and explaining every single product in detail. She will also follow up with you post facial to ensure your skin reacted ok and that you didn't have any questions regarding products, etc. I did mention to the manager before I left that they should really consider utilizing more training if possible. He seem less enthused with my advice but I felt like it was necessary as I don't think the BR brand would be impressed with this facial and it almost could tarnish their reputation. I know the spa is still new to the products but I was very disappointed and can only hope another spa in the Denver area starts to carry...
