Worst events management of any organization that I've ever dealt with! I like how AHEC made a new listing for themselves to hide their bad ratings! Hence a repost of my review...

First off, the lack of professionalism among the employees is appalling. The employees as well as management have zero tact or any kind of human dignity, much less customer service skills. The lack of communication between coordinators and staff on the ground is completely missing. On top of all that, AHEC demands payment for everything at all times - although, I'm not sure what you're paying for. Most damning is that their accounting office seems to reconcile their books only once every six months - so if your are a club on campus, your account could be positive one day, and negative the next with NO NOTICE!

Secondly, AHEC parking seems to only care about making money - they provide no services or security. Additionally, AHEC events staff never communicate with parking in regards to waived parking fees for special events, and good luck getting your ticket reversed.

I have lived all over the country and dealt with dozens of events crews in all sorts of settings and AHEC wins the award for the worst, most unprofessional, most greedy organization ever! This company is predatory upon students and a true absolute disgrace. If you can find public transit or any other way to get to school without paying to utilize their lots, please help support their downfall. The fact that their notice fee is 92 when lots range from $3.31 dollars and up is absolutely insane and should be illegal. Some students are barely able to afford getting to school and back, and the fact that this company preys upon these types of situations is horrendous and nothing short of revolting. Metro should be doing more to protect their students from this type of financial abuse, but god forbid they recognize the situation in the first place.

I have heard some students get their tickets canceled after providing reason that they cannot afford it, but as someone, a black female student, that submitted the same reasoning…I was offered a 20 dollar discount. 🤔 Just let that sink in. I will be doing everything I can from here to make sure I’m not adding a single dollar extra to the wallet of these absolute emotionless crooks and parking lot slum lords. It may not be much as one person , but it’s something.

Until students are willing to band together to actually address this as a collective instead of complaining about this on an individual level I’m not sure anything...

If you drive to campus, literally park ANYWHERE but an AHEC owed lot unless you like paying $20 to park just to go to class or work. The parking office is not helpful, I reached out for assistance via email and they essentially told me I didn't know how to use the machine and my car wasn't registered; despite my three different registrations with their office prior to this issue. Avoid them if you can.

Edit with updates: even when they do get your car registered, they will still find the small reason to ticket. If they have two different signs in a lot and you chose the wrong parking number, you will be fined and they will treat you like you are stupid; even though it is their responsibility to complete thorough signage. AHEC has not given a crap about the actual community of this campus in years, just about fixing their COVID deficit. Only good folks on their staff...
