Unfortunately our school library is not a great place to study. How is it that the wifi signal in this building is so bad? Why wasn't this issue addressed during the lengthy remodel? Also, it can be very difficult to find a place to study there, especially during midterms and finals. Sometimes there's one student at a large desk that could have been used by four students, while numerous other students are searching hopelessly for a place to study. Other times, the upstairs, which is supposed to be quiet study, is so loud that I end up having to leave in hopes of finding a quiet place. There is a "deep-quiet study area", but people don't seem to respect the rules there either. The sign outside of the deep-quiet study area specifically says that there is no eating allowed in there. Of course the last time I was there, a young gentleman decided to come and eat his rather pungent meal, very disruptively, while listening to his loud headphones. (Couldn't he eat anywhere else?!) There are only a handful of very small desks there and insufficient outlets. If you need to charge your computer and use it at the same time, there are no means of doing so. While I have addressed these issues with library staff on several occasions, I have yet to see an improvement. Students upstairs continue to carry out loud and length conversations, when the entire downstairs is designated for group-study. On several occasions, when I have finally found a good place to study, I have had to intervene and ask students to keep quiet. This should not be an issue. I really hope that this library will improve and be a better place for...
Read moreI was surprised there was a place so close to downtown Denver where it was totally free to sit indoors in an air conditioned room, spread all your stuff out and charge your devices. With clean public bathrooms, vending machines, and nearby union station A-line, this is truly the most clutch place in Denver for the situation where you had to check out of your Hotel but still have a few hours before catching your flight.

Not surprised to see the comments about the homeless people. I had no issues myself, despite one being asked to stop snoring while I was there. In fact, I'm surprised there's not more, the Auraria Library offers way more for the price ($0) than any other institution in Denver. You buy a $5 coffee it's going to be noisy and the Starbucks staff will kick you out. Just hit up this Library it's totally cool, and none of the actual students even use it.
Use vitamins in the bathroom, no one is going to really care unless you're actively disrupting other people or...
Read morePros: resources are very good (computers, amount of books, magazines, journals, etc.) staff is very helpful cafe in house location on campus (central to all of Auraria campus)
Cons: poor wifi signal (2nd floor specifically) poor security 1st floor restroom is pretty gross (clogged sinks, food left in stalls, hair in and around sinks) noise level (currently due to construction) the hours (personal opinion, but a library accomadating three different institutions should have longer hours of operation specifically on the weekends)
*With regards to the homeless situation, this is a public urban campus so I decided it not to place that as a con since I expected there to be a large population of homeless here. The vast majority just want a place to read and I have never felt it has been an issue with he exception of the small percent who practice personal hygiene and don't clean up...
