One of the more beautiful places you're not allowed to be due to its proximity to personal property. Security patrols. The theater there and is always looking for transients or people who are " trespassing". This place is consistently empty when there aren't events here, despite it supposedly being a public area. Well, the statues have a good message behind them and a lot of the architecture around here is quite beautiful. I'm not allowed to appreciate it for more than a couple seconds as I drive by. A few times I have stopped here for a significant period of time I've always been approached. And I'm not even homeless. I have a job. I live right across the street from this place. If it's a private location it should be fenced off so people are aware of that and don't wander on to it. If it is public property then security should stow away from it. Cuz it's not their jurisdiction. Honestly, I wish more events were held here. That way I could hold more significance in the city beyond being a landmark I use...

The location was so convenient for everyone that stayed in the hotels surrounding the convention center so it made for a perfect backdrop for our end of conference party. There were a lot of staff people on the streets to show us the direction, all happily telling us to have fun and a few entrepreneurs offering bicycle taxi rides to and from the event although walkable, it sure is nice to have the option! They had many food trucks, clean portable toilets including AD and trailers, an outdoor gas fireplace, corn hole games, beer pong? With trash cans lol 🤷🏻♀️ a FANTASTIC live band and adult beverage bars around the whole park so nobody had to wait in line. I know that the google review is about the park and since this is our only or first time at this park, I wanted to explain the details of our visit that formed our opinion...

Minimal shade, no umbrellas or spray sunscreen allowed. I get extremely overheated quickly and normally use my UV protection umbrella but was not allowed to take it in.
The entrance is located in the Performing Arts complex near the Boettcher Hall.
We looked and googled in advance to find out what we could take into the venue and it would be nice if that information was easily accessible.
Parking was $15.
I am so glad they had water stations but there was at least one point when it was empty and we had to wait.
We were sunburned and had heat exhaustion.
I was told the umbrella is a visual obstruction… as a short person, not necessarily true… my 6ft son is more of a visual obstruction.
The staff were great, professional...
