I find the idea of these mega churches being on what is supposed to be government property or at the very least a community center of learning exceptionally disturbing. Maybe someone can correct me and tell me that they do some sort of theology class here. But as far as I'm aware, these are just brainwashing centers targeting young impressionable people who for the first time in their life are away from their families. I find it incredibly disturbing that they're not one, not two but three churches on this campus. Isn't there supposed to be separation of church and state? For every one of the Buddhists that I encountered on the 16th Street Mall who was trying to put a A beaded bracelet on my wrist and charge me money for it. There were like 18 probably pedophiles trying to get me to convert to the religion that saved them from child touching. Seriously you talked to these guys about their backgrounds and they basically just dance around the "sin that got them there". As an intelligent individual who's open to theological discussions, It's quite apparent that there's none of that going on here as every one of the people that I have stopped to talk to who's been trying to convert me is physically incapable of comprehending why I Don't want to be converted. And go into an existential spiral when I start pointing out the flaws in their argument. Not even making my own. If your job is to reassure people and make them feel more comfortable then you need to be doing stuff actual stuff that matters. And not just for your flock. We're in this situation because you encourage people to put their nose in the ground because they're already forgiven for all the bad things they've done because Jesus died. I don't believe that's the point of his story. I think he died because we are sinful, And it is on us to practice his message. I despise places like this as a center of ignorance and corruption. It should be cleared out and moved and converted into something for the...

Read moreA warm and welcoming Catholic church. It's a small community where many parishioners know each other. The music is prayerful, uplifting, joyful, and up-to-date. Full disclosure: if you like silent prayer before mass, this is probably not the place for you. Lots of people who haven't seen each other all week spend the time before mass visiting. The Denver Archdiocese tends to be pretty conservative and this parish stands out because it is more...
