I'm the type of person who conducts extensive research on everything before I make a purchase/investment in a product or service of any significant expense. To a self admitted fault, I sometimes experience paralyses by analysis. My research into the purchase of a wall tent revealed Davis Tent to have high consumer reviews for quality and service. In fact, I struggled to find a bad experience posted on this 60 plus year family business. Therefore, based on the excellent reputation for QUALITY AND SERVICE, I recently purchased a 14 ft x 15 ft in their Elk package. I made a few upgrades, including upgrading to their largest stove, adding a seven foot awning, and adding a separate rain fly for the tent. During my research and in placing my order, everyone I spoke was extremely polite, patient, helpful with advice and recommendations, and knowledgable. It became very obvious the emloyees I spoke with use their product and could provide real world, first hand knowledge, something that is hard to find in today's world. When I recieved the entire product, all packages arriving at the same time, I was impressed. This was a large purchase, lots of separate items and parts. Not only was there care taken in packing the items so they arrived undamaged in the rough world of modern shipping, but everything was there and in good condition. I proceeded to setup the tent (completely with ALL stakes and guy lines), soaked it down and let it dry. This allowed me to verify everything was there and working and make any personal adjustments such as painting a blue band on all ridge poles and a double blue band on the awning ridge poles, and welding heavy duty washers on the heads of all tent and guyline stakes. I failed to notice Davis is now predrilling the stove pipe, for the damper stallation, until after I drilled my f first hole. When I called Davis I told them what I had done and enquired about the possibility of purchasing the first section of the nesting pipe. To my suprise, they offered to send me the pipe at no cost. I'm extremely impressed with the product quality, service, and professionalism. In this life long hunter and outdoorsman's oppinion, Davis Tents and Awning is a gold...
Read moreI ordered my "Elk Package" from Davis in March 2021 after extensive research. I talked with Chris who led me through the process of what my needs were, intended use, type and style of hunting and locations. He was very well versed in matching my needs. I got the tent right on time despite virus related logistical issues.
Just now returning from 8 days in the field for the archery opener here in Montana and had to write a review. The tent performed exceptionally well in all aspects. I added additional windows, 3/4 floor, and organizer and a couple accessories. All were perfect and very handy. The stove was better than I expected in that it burned all night with a little trial and error on the flue / dampers. Setup and transport (big the stove bag) was very easy. It can easily handle 10 degree nights and without a doubt the Montana rifle season in October / November. The whole package was talked about at camp and all agreed it will provide years of service. They were as impressed as I was. Validation to say the least.
I discovered I was missing a couple of pegs and one rope tensioner upon setup in the field, but neither caused an issues. I had spare pegs and a good old truckers hitch took care of the missing tensioner.
Upon my return from the field I called Davis about the items and to mainly share my satisfaction of the product. I once again got Chris on the phone and he quickly took care of the items. Again, completely satisfied.
I was down to three tent makers, all of which are good, but I believe I have found a high quality product at a great price, great customer service, and a knowledgeable staff that was able to guide me through me needs as opposed to simply selling me a tent. If you ask me on a hunting or backcountry forum, my answer is simple. Davis
Well done Davis Tent and thanks again Chris!

Read moreThe great team at Davis have been huge supporters of our organization, The Fallen Outdoors. Our mission, and honestly our passion, is to organize outdoor adventures for veterans past and present, from every generation and from all branches of the military. Our aim is to connect Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines with like-minded individuals along with teaching them a skill and passion they can continue for a lifetime. Without great supporters like the team at Davis, it would be difficult at best to accomplish this. My most recent experience with them is what led me to make this review. I spoke with Will at about 2 pm on April 3rd, 2024 about a tent that was provided for Team Colorado. I live about 4 hours from the Davis location, where the tent was located. I thought if the tent could be shipped, it would be surely less expensive than driving the 8 hour round trip. Not only was Will very helpful and friendly, but he put the tent in shipping immediately and when I arrived home around 6 PM on April 4th, the tent was delivered. I honestly was amazed, and have never in my life had this kind of sincere support. This great action will result in many Veterans having an excellent product in which to spend countless nights in the great outdoors, and with each other. Thank you doesn't say enough. Your actions are those of a true Patriot and I am sure that at least one of the Veterans who will use this product could be a life saved through this type of therapeutic approach. For this,...
