Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had!

Fat Batter’s ice cream is absolutely delicious — truly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The flavors are rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced.

When I first arrived, I didn’t quite understand the setup — there’s a cute little van/food truck outside that I think they serve from sometimes, but the storefront itself isn’t staffed. Instead, there are two coolers full of ice cream, and you pay on the honor system using an iPad or Venmo, which is actually pretty charming once you figure it out.

A few of the listed flavors weren’t available when I stopped by, which was a little confusing, and I was really hoping to try the pistachio (it sounds amazing!). Still, what I did have was outstanding, and I’d love to know when that flavor will be available next.

I think the operating hours on Google may be incorrect. It seems like the self-serve is available, but the service operating hours appear to only be Thursday through Saturday according to yelp.

Fat Batter is pure joy in a pint. From the first bite you can tell it’s made with love and real ingredients. Most ice cream shops around here all taste the same because they use that Royal Crest base, but this is completely different. It’s creamy, rich, and just bursting with flavor that feels homemade in the best way.

The Campfire Cocoa is unreal. It actually tastes like sitting by a campfire with toasted marshmallows and chocolate melting together, and those homemade cookie chunks take it over the top. You Say It’s Your Birthday might be even better, packed with soft cake pieces and sweet little bursts of confetti crunch. Every bite has something exciting going on.

Fat Batter is my favorite ice cream shop ever and honestly nothing else around compares. Every flavor tastes homemade and full of love, not like the cookie cutter stuff most places serve. Their Strawberry Fields Forever has the perfect mix of roasted strawberry jam and white chocolate, Vanilla Ice Ice Baby is smooth and dreamy with real vanilla bean, and Gooey James Brownie is pure chocolate heaven packed with rich brownie chunks. Campfire Cocoa is a smoky, chocolatey masterpiece with toasted marshmallow swirls, and Have a Creamy Day is probably the best of all with its sweet cream base and homemade Oreos that melt perfectly into every bite.
