I absolutely loved this store! I’m new to the area and am trying to furnish an entire house on a budget. The in store employees were awesome! Lydia especially was just such a sweetheart. They really have great stuff too, with fair prices.
However… I paid 100 bucks for delivery, and tipped 70% on top of that. The guys arrived 4.5 hours later than the scheduled time, with no communication. I wasted most of my day waiting around, after receiving a confirmation call that they were about 1.5 hours out.
They put giant scratches all over my freshly refinished hardwood floor as well. I had laid moving blankets out to ensure this wouldn’t happen, so it’s sort of a bummer.
They also smacked a giant dresser into my wall, which chipped the paint and dented the gyp.
So overall, I was planning to leave a 5 star review, that the people at the store clearly deserve. I just wish i had access to our truck and trailer, like I normally would. Because the delivery experience completed tainted my desire to keep shopping there.
Hardwood floors were 3,500 to refinish and it’s just really lame that they’re already ruined… or, gone for good as they say. Lol
EDIT: I posted this and within an hour the owner called me and offered me a full refund. I can’t believe how nice and professional he was about the entire thing. I didn’t feel comfortable accepting such a large amount back, but the fact that this man was willing to even reach out and offer that completely blew me away. It totally soothed my frustration, and I will totally be back. Because as I listed above, I had a great experience with the employees at the store! They are honest hardworking people and I am so pleased that this guy took the time to read my review and try and...
Read moreI have had good experiences and interactions at this place in the past, but not today. Not sure what the issue was, but the woman working needs an attitude adjustment. First, I hear her charge the young gal in front of me "a little extra" for a fake gold necklace because they "got it from a bougie house." What? Then when it was my turn, i had an unpriced fire poker set that I dug out of the junk area in the back of the store. She picked a number off the top of her head, saying "mm, 20 bucks." I told her I had seen a set for $10 earlier at an Arc, and as I was trying to say that I'd rather support their business, she interrupted me and said "Well you should probably go there then." There is no need to be so rude and condescending. Don't advertise yourself as a thrift store if you're going to be handing out resale prices with an attitude. I have no need to go back. There are better prices and...
Read moreThis is my new favorite second-hand spot in Denver. We stumbled upon it about a year ago and have since found four incredible furniture additions to our home and a (likely problematic) amount of knicknack treasures. The prices are unbelievably fair and the employees are full of knowledge on the furniture brand, the story behind a piece, and general enjoyable banter. We just purchased a 1960s dresser in wonderful shape. The staff helped us load it into the car, they even gave us bungy straps when ours didn't work out. I can't recommend this place enough if you're a forage-and-finder, and if you want cool conversation while picking through...
