Bacon Social House - South Broadway — Restaurant in Denver

We came in early on a weekday to grab a nice breakfast. The overall atmosphere is okay, granted it was empty when we came in. The music choice had us a bit confused and some of the songs were painful to the ears with no consistency. The service was very subpar, the waiter was on their phone and we had to ask them to come over to grab our order, once again despite the empty spot. After 30 minutes of sitting, the food finally came out. Honestly, the meal was pretty good, we got chicken and waffles, French toast and scrambled eggs, but the strawberries tasted beyond their date and a bit fermented.

It felt very millennial and very VERY gimmicky. The food was the real savior, but the wait wasn’t really worth the time it took.

Also I suppose being hangry first thing in the morning didn’t help, but 30-40min wait time for food seems wild to me.

Either way, out of 10 I’d give it a 3. Out of five, it gets a 2.5.

Food was solid, and the service was excellent, with our server being really attentive and helpful. We even had a mistake in our order and they just gave us the extra food they made the mistake with, and brought out the right item. We’d definitely go back. Some specifics.

We all got the Miners Breakfast, with plain buttermilk pancake (10/10) a chocolate chip bacon pancake (10/10) and a red velvet pancake (10/10) The sausage patties were also really good 9/10.

The Bacon Tots were the only item that we weren’t the biggest fans, but probably because they were not what we expected and should maybe not be called “tots”. They’re more like a hush puppy crunch and inner consistency vs an actual tater tot, which is understandably what we expected. They were in no way bad, but I’d probably get sweet potato or regular...

Be very careful when ordering online from this restaurant, as their online menu is not up-to-date. If you complain, the manager will blow up your cell phone and threaten you that you’ve done something illegal. Hard NO.

The problem is that they will penalize you for your order. Once your order is picked up, your delivery, driver calls and informs you that they don’t have everything you requested. While I try to contact the company about this issue, they make contacting them exceptionally difficult. The only thing I was able to do was send an email to a generic account. Please be very careful here, it does appear they are just looking to get your money which is concerning. If you think I am being ridiculous, I have contacted the BBB, the AG‘s office, and GrubHub.
