I've been to this salon a total of 4 times now. Sunday 3-25-23 being my last visit. The first time I got a pedicure and everything went great. Each time there after I've had a problem. The first time a got my nails done french manicure. My right thumb was a little raw from biting the skin off too low and I informed the lady that it was tender. She hit it a couple times not remembering I guess. She was very rough. The entire time I was getting my nails and she was talking, to whom I'm not sure because no one was talking back to her. She hurt me a few more times & I expressed so & became agitated. She did not ask me how long I wanted my nails or what shape. She did not buff or file my nails. She snatched my hand & began putting clear coat on & putting my hand under the light. I asked why she stopped and didn't file her but my nails and she said you hurt too much you baby. I said excuse me? Then asked her if she knew I was paying her to do my nails. That she wasn't going to disrespect me and not do her job correctly. I ask for the manager she said she got she's over there, motioning to the left. I said well that's helpful. A few minutes after that the 'manager' came over and personally finished my nails. She apologized for her employee and then asked if I would like to tip??! I said no not today. The 3rd time visiting Pretty Nails was good. The lady who did my french manicure was amazingly fast. I swear I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I was in Awe. Fastest full set ever! It was a nice change of pace.
Last week I went to get a pedicure and a full set. The lady who did my pedicure was very rude pushy and give me the worst pedicure ever! She gave me the menu sheet and asked which one I wanted I told her multiple times just the basic one . I can't afford $50. After I told her I just wanted the basic she seemed a little irritated. It was the worst pedicure ever!!! I brought my own polish as they charge an extra 10 bucks for there polishes. I had nail polish all over my feet. She didn't cut my nails straight, barley filed them and sent me to the mail lady with my toes wet and didn't even carry my stuff across the shop. The lady was talking the entire time and kept saying you don't want to enjoy it?? You want $50 ?? I told her no 20 times. The lady who did my full set was the rudest, chic. I told her multiple times what I wanted and asked multiple questions about pricing. The nails that I got where nothing close to what I wanted. When I asked a question she got very rude and told me that she could leave my nails as they were for $50 otherwise it would be $60 just to paint the tips of them. I paid $95 for the worst pedicure in full set of nails I've ever had. I'm beyond disappointed and put off by this nail salon. What I want to pay and they asked that I want to tip, which I replied no and you should have seen the look that they gave me... Absolutely terrible customer service!!! I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was so torn on how many stars to post here... I have mixed feelings about this location. I'll start with the positives. 1st off the tech that did my birthday acrylic nails did so amazing on the shape, length, and design! I am a picky person when it comes to acrylics because I type ALOT and I hate when they are done too thick or crooked. I asked for a VERY specific design with an ombre base and a full nail design on one of my nails and for the rest to be plain to cut down on cost. He not only matched my inspo pick EXACTLY but he included the smaller designs on the rest of my nails for free as a birthday gift. My BIGGEST pro for this tech is how long these have lasted! I used to do acrylics often and never have I had them last longer than maybe 2 weeks at best. We are going on a full month now and not a single one has lifted, chipped, or broken off. (Yes they have grown out and yes I plan to take them off now due to the growth). Honestly, the longevity of these nails is reason enough for me to go back should I get acrylics again soon. But now for the reason I docked 2 stars.... when I showed up, I had a specific request of not wanting acrylics because I have worked so hard to regain the strength and length of my natural nails for a year... well they wouldn't take no for an answer and insisted that the design I wanted needed to be done on acrylic so I just submitted and just let him do his thing (yes I am glad I did it but that is beyond the point.) Once he started the process everything went fine.... until he over filed my nail bed and caused pain and irritation from how thin my nail was after that. It wasn't that bad as it was only a small area at the base of the nail that really showed any iritation but it did raise a red flag and is the main reason for the loss of stars. With the pros and cons weighed... I probably would go back and give him another try but from what I have heard, he is the ONLY tech I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is just a hot mess we walked an an they all just looked at us while they were trying amongst themselves then decided to ask what we needed and how they could help us we told him three rebases so three people at least one of us to go to them so I sit down the ladies just rude I show her a picture of what I want and right away told me $40 when I already have the tips and all I wanted was then to fill the end of the nail and draw a simple line on the tips so I asked how much is your basis she said $25 well then she realized but the tips were already there and that she just had to refill it so then she changed her mind and said it was only $25 not to mention they're bored of prices said it was like $15 for a rebase. The whole time I knew what I wanted and I had asked her if she could do it and all she kept saying was it who did it and why they did a bad job..... point of the matter is my nails usually last at least a month no lifting no nothing I decided to try a new place and they did the shittiest job ever if I were you I would not ever recommend to go to the salon my nails already lifting it hasn't even been a week the gel is peeling off the ends there's all kinds of bubbles in the inside of the nails and she just didn't finish the right way and this is why I don't ever change up and I've gone to the same salon for years the one time I try it backfires on me so if you're looking for a new salon go to Lovely Nails on Colfax cuz it'll be a better deal better quality and...
