This used to be the spot! Iâve told so many people about this place. From the original owner to the nice lady that took over. Iâve been a regular for yearssss. Quality went down after the owner change and prices went up! I clearly remember paying 10-15 bucks and now Itâs 20-30. I still supported them going a few times a week every week. I spend at least 100 or more a week here. From forgetting salsas to get the order wrong to no limes skimpy tacos...the list goes on. I ask myself why I kept going honestly now that i write this. Different waitress every month. Iâve been told I can have salsa with my meal, âsalsa doesnât go with flautasâ. Kept arguing wit me over it even asked thecook and coworkers. I just wanted salsa and was willing to pay! Even after I had just dropped a $5 In the tip jar. Another time I got salty tacos, then cold meat and uncooked tortillas. Last night again cold tortillas and skinny tacos. I could tell the tortillas were not heated. I call to talk to the owner and the owners daughter gets on the phone tells me her mom doesnât work there anymore. I tell her the issue and she puts me on hold to ask whoever she needed to ask. Of course theyâre not going to admit to not heating up the tortillas. She gets back on the phone and tells me they were heated and maybe itâs because t was cold outside. I live 6 minutes away. I didnât walk home with them. Why would the meat be semi hot and the tortilla cold? I wasnât calling to get anything in return just calling to let them know to be careful! She tells me well if you want I can heat them for you... I could easily pop them in the microwave myself. Not even a sorry or anything just basically saying Iâm lying. Seriously they need to get it together. $100 a week and I canât even get an apology. I guess thatâs what I get for going back time...
Read moreMy father and I went to eat at taco Ășnico today around 12pm. We were greeted by a somewhat of a nice lady that kind of had an attitude because we walked in. And thatâs ok not everyday is a good day for the servers and we get that but it did make us feel like our business wasnât wanted. My dad ordered the green chilaquiles and I ordered 3 asada and 2 pastor tacos. The green chilaquiles were to to to spicy, they were to soggy and the sauce was to watery that it started pooling at the bottom of the plate. He couldnât even enjoy them and left 3/4 of the plate full. His Coca Cola from the fountain tasted like water, sparkling water at best. I love tacos but I could not bring myself to like these tacos one bit. The tortilla was slimy, the carne asada steak was bland and tasted like dough for some reason and my coke was also like water. I say that if a restaurant canât even get the tacos right then I donât expect the rest of the food to be good đ€·đœââïž The only thing I enjoyed today while patronizing taco Ășnico was the...
Read moreI ordered the beef street tacos with beans and rice. My daughter ordered the smothered bean and cheese burrito. It wasn't busy. I kept waiting for the waitress to come over because i wanted to exchange the tacos because they were just bland... no flavor. The rice was, too. Oh, and the salsa... they call that salsa? So bland. Maybe 4 tiny pieces of onion in it. My daughters burrito... now that was tasty. They have very good refried beans. Well, my daughter finished. I needed my bill, so I went up to the register to pay. Told her that I didn't care for the tacos. She said I should have gotten up to tell her. I work in hospitality - food service. The customer/guest shouldn't have to track the server down. Anyway, she had me pay for the uneaten food regardless. I would have returned (when back down the mountain from Avon CO. Just for the beans but having to pay for a meal, I had two bites of... nope. I'll find a better place down...
