I had never taken a yoga class in my life until I found The River Yoga (through Classpass; also highly recommend). I have been to both studios and had different instructors for each class I have signed up for (I have taken 5 so far between the two studios) and I must say....I have never had a bad experience! It's rare for any business with multiple locations to have consistency in their internal operations as well as their employees. Every instructor is so friendly and welcoming; which is great for someone like me who knows ZILCH about yoga. There have been a couple occasions where I had specific questions after class and both times the instructors were very knowledgeable, experienced, and most importantly, FRIENDLY. Genuinely friendly! So far every class I have taken has been a hot Power Vinyasa class but I LOVE it! I'm sure I will branch out, but it's a great class for beginners. I always feel 1000 times better when I leave. Not just physically, but mentally too because of the guided breathwork (which I thought was weird at first not knowing what it was) and guided meditation. I never thought I could do "breathwork" or any type of meditation but the instructors are amazing and guide the class the entire time. Thank you so much to all of the instructors and employees at these studios. You all are truly making a difference and I am so grateful I found...

I’m so so sad to make this review. This studio was my safe space. However today I was informed I have balances due. Seeing as I haven’t been in a couple of months, I was surprised. Turns out I had missed two classes, one in December 2021 and one in March 2022. I had never been told about this in the dozens of times I had gone since then. These charges were random, and there’s no way to remember if I showed up or if I called ahead (I had COVID in December so I know I called ahead to cancel and explain the situation and the gentleman was very kind and told me they would not charge me). I’m so confused how they had these charges on file but didn’t tell me at all until today (it’s almost September!). Also I’m worried they double-charged me for a late cancellation that was already charged through ClassPass. Anyway, I want to go back but I’m so scared another random charge is going to be added to my account and I won’t know until 6 months down the road. It’s embarrassing to be told this in front of a group full of women and made me feel pretty small, so I didn’t even finish the class I...
Read moreAwesome studio and teachers. I have not had any issues with parking or lines. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of five stars is because it’s rather expensive for a 60 minute class and they don’t offer enough class times over the weekend. Even when you buy a pack is the average cost for class is pretty high. Considering that as well as what’s best for yoga practice, their classes should be 75 minutes. They have plenty of time between sessions, as their classes are back to back anyway, so they should try to give a little bit more bang for the buck to their students. That extra 15 minutes makes a big difference in terms of being able to have a well-rounded Vinyasa flow session, build up the heart rate and then have enough time to bring it back down. 60 minutes it’s just not enough to get in deep enough. Especially for intermediate and advanced yogis. In terms of classes over the weekend, they only offer two earlier classes Saturday mornings, they should have a noon class on Saturday as well. On Sundays they have a huge gap in the middle of the day because they don’t offer a class between 10 AM and 4 PM. Again I think they have a lot of attendees if they did another class or two between the 10 and 4...
