Flora — Restaurant in Denver

Update Jan 17 -- Flora refunded me money for this, and I'm sure that they've discussed with their employees. This spot is really cute, and I'm excited for them to join the neighborhood, so I've updated this review.

I was really excited for this location to open because I love Hello Darling! It is an adorable space -- really well decorated and well located.

However, have been really disappointed both times that I have been with the service that I have received. Bartenders / servers seem too "cool" to provide quick and engaged service. This Sunday night, it could have been a quiet, nice vibe, but the bartender spent an hour on Facetime with her boyfriend (?) complaining about how she wasn't participating in the company Secret Santa at the Hello Darling location. There were few other people in the bar, and she was talking incredibly loudly at the main bar, so we were all participating in her conversation. I would have left, but I had just paid $23 for a drink and small cup of nuts, so I felt stuck. Will update this review if...

Flora is a nice, quiet coffee shop located just south of main Downtown Denver and in the west Capitol Hill area. Main draw, at least for me, for this coffee shop is that it is in the downtown area but just far enough where there is free street parking. There is nothing worst than having to pay for parking and move your car every 2 hours as well while working!

I enjoyed my turmeric tea (trying to be healthy and heard that turmeric is full of health benefits) that was reasonable priced at about $5 after tax and tip. They will top off your tea with hot water as well.

WiFi is fast and not limited to a certain amount of time like some coffee shops do. If you do have a large group (4+), this may not be the spot for you as they seem to not have seating to accommodate that but you may be able to put some tables together.

I was unable to receive a paper receipt after purchasing two drinks for a work meetup. When a text receipt was received 4 days later, there was an additional charge for something I did not order. Having the ability to review the purchase and/or receive a receipt at the time of purchase would have kept me coming back. The atmosphere is great and the drinks were okay, but being overcharged without the ability to say anything (there’s no way to reach out as their phones don’t work) is a bit frustrating.
