Holidaze Smokeshop — Local services in Deptford Township

I visited holidaze smoke shop on 6-18-23. This was the worst experience I’ve had in a store in a very long. While there were many people in the store it was me (the only person of color) that the store employee wanted to helicopter around. Comments like if you break it, you’re gonna have to buy it or you’re not allowed to open the cases are unnecessary for a shopper like me. I’m not a kid I’m 50. The item I wanted they didn’t have. On top of that I have to deal with this employee over my shoulder, the whole time I’m shopping. I think it’s funny. The store has posters of Jimi Hendrix and other black artists in their store but a person of color can’t shop there without being harassed by the store keeper. If you’re a person of color, I would stay out of Holidaze. As for myself, there are way too many smoke shops in my area to ever walk back in that store. I would give it less...

Every time I come here, it’s always an issue. Last time I was here I got misgendered, now I walk in today with my girlfriend who is fully prepared to buy an ashtray, rolling tray, and 4 different clipper lighters along with other small items. The man behind the register goes “I saw you put that ashtray in your pocket bro” in front of everyone in the store, meanwhile- my girlfriends holding the ashtray. I wasn’t even holding one at the time he accused me. I then emptied my pockets at the register and then he wanted to backtrack and apologize when all that was in my pockets was my phone and my keys. He had stared at me the entire time I walked around and browsed the store, mind you. My girlfriend put everything she was gonna get down on the counter and we left. Find a better smoke shop, everything’s overpriced...

Tay and Steve are the best!!! They are so friendly and knowledgeable about their products and they make it such a welcoming environment so I’m never nervous about having to ask questions about things I don’t know. They always put a smile on my face! The store itself is super clean and organized and they have the best products for cbd, smoking stuff and glassware. And if they don’t have it they’ll help you find it. Just a 12/10 place!! The manager Q is also very friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I have and is always willing to go above and beyond to help. And the owner is such a great guy I don’t have enough words for what great people they are here! Absolutely...
