I had an extremely disappointing experience with Jared Jewelers in Woodbury, NJ. About seven months ago, I went in to have my anniversary wedding band resized due to weight loss. Initially, they tried to charge me extra for the resizing, even though it was my first time. After pointing this out, they adjusted the price. My husband was with me and encouraged me to have some fun, so I ended up purchasing six additional rings, an anklet, a bracelet, and earringsâall of which required resizing, for which I had to pay extra, even on the newly purchased items.
We spent a significant amount of time in the store, and I needed to use the bathroom while there. To my shock, the restroom was filthyâworse than any public restroom Iâve encountered. I couldnât even use it. This speaks volumes about how little they care for customer comfort, even after youâve spent a significant amount of money in their store. No effort to offer water or basic hospitality either.
A week later, I returned to pick up my resized anniversary ring and decided to drop off some of my other jewelry for repairs, including an anklet, two necklaces, and a few other pieces. Unfortunately, the quality of their work was appalling. The first time I wore one of the repaired necklacesâan incredibly sentimental piece with a pendant gifted by my late fatherâit broke, and I lost the pendant. My father passed away 21 years ago, and the emotional loss is immeasurable. The anklet I had repaired also broke in the exact same spot they supposedly fixed. To make matters worse, three of the diamonds on three different rings I purchased fell out after minimal wear.
Now, Iâm even afraid to wear my wedding band, worth over $10,000, for fear that the resized band will lose its diamonds as well. Jared offers no warranty on their work unless you pay extra, and given my experience, I feel like they deliberately did a poor job.
This experience has been devastating, both emotionally and financially. I cannot recommend Jared Jewelers to anyoneâthey seem to care more about squeezing every penny out of their customers than providing quality service or maintaining basic customer...

Read moreI hope he doesn't go to Jared, or at least not this Jared.
I went in with a friend to get sized/look into some styles as our boyfriends gave us a heads up to do so. We thought this would be a fun experience- but were very wrong.
I wish I knew the associate's name that "helped" us. She was so rude right from the beginning that I wish we walked out immediately. We walked in, explained we wanted to be sized and she looked at me like I was crazy. "You mean you want to be measured?" Sorry I don't have the correct terminology- but that's what I'm going to you for? Not to feel belittled. She then rushed that process by putting multiple different ring sizes on our finger and pulling them off before we could even feel if it fit right. Then never even gave us a definite size and just said "you're around this size"..................we then decided to step away and look at some rings/diamonds and when we were ready called her over to help. She acted as if we were bothering her but there was only one other couple in the store who was being helped by the other associate. Mid way through trying on rings it began to rain and she made a huge deal about that- as if they were going to close because of rain and we should be heading out? She made us feel so dumb and useless when all we wanted was some helpful information and a fun experience. We left after my friend tried on two rings, and I tried on 0 because I was just so uncomfortable. I will make sure to never return...
