I never thought that it would be this much work just to file for child support. I tried twice and still walked out of the building unsuccessful. The first time was on a Tuesday I tried to file a Motion to Modify Child Support. When I got to the 2nd floor the clerk wrote down for me to go to the 9th floor to make 3 copies of my court order. I went to the 9th floor and a security guard said to wait until someone called me in so I sat there waiting for over 20 minutes. Then another security guard came out and said I was on the wrong floor that I was supposed to go to the 19th floor. I said the clerk wrote down the 9th floor he said that it was wrong. I went to the 19th floor and they made copies of my court order and told me to go back down to the 2nd floor. I got there and the clerk told me that I had to scan my paperwork and upload it onto the computer because there was no one to file the paperwork in person and the only days that you could do it in person were on Mondays and Thursdays. Even though I followed the instructions the scanner did not work. There was another woman across from me who asked for help and the clerk was being rude screaming at both of us to just follow the instructions! It was lunch time and everyone just walked off and left us there. They told us to wait until 2pm and just give our documents to the judge. I had been there for over 3 hours so I just left. I tried again the following Monday I called AllPaid and made the $60 fee payment and when I got to the Coleman building the clerk said that the customer service person sent the payment to the wrong building instead of sending it to the Coleman building they sent the payment to the Antoine building and told me that it would take a week to reimburse the payment and that I could sign up for a fee waiver if I qualified for it. I had enough and walked off. It was too much. No person should have to go through all of that just to turn in a few pieces of paper. Everything should be on one floor there should be no reason to keep getting on and off the elevator and running from floor to floor. It's...
Read moreMost unprofessional place, i would say almost as bad as the penobscot building. The only ones there that seem even remotely interested in helping are the security guards or county sheriff's. No directions, no information desks or check in. Was sent to this building from the penobscot building, then they told me to go back to the penobscot building. I was told to go to floor 12, then 13, then 9, then finally security had to walk me to the proper court room on floor 19. I could not believe the unprofessionalism in either of these buildings and i dont know why Democrats or Republicans are not trying to fix this problem. Looking at the reviews it isnt hard to see that there are many. Justice system in this country is a joke and there is no wonder why people take the law into their own hands. There are some good cities in Wayne county, but having to go to downtown Detroit for any legal matters kills it. I recommend living in another county. When they lose enough tax dollars they may see the error of their ways but right now they are not feeling the pinch. A class action law suit is...
Read moreAmazingly awful customer service in person and by phone. So sad to know that the supervisors of each department dont do anything to make customer service better. Inexperienced employees, you can tell that they dont know what they are doing and they are not there to help you any sort of way. They are just there to take your money. I was speaking to a lady on the phone to see how can i solve my problem and mean while i was still speaking all of a sudden I don't hear a response, well I was connected to another lady without me knowing and all she had to say was that the lady who i was speaking too had to take her lunch. I understand she had to take her lunch but why answer in the first place or she should of let me know at least. Thats why Detroit can get back on its feet, because of people like them. I love Detroit but wish People...
