Drove 400+ miles to attend a concert held here.
Doors were opened about 2 hours late, security was extremely overbearing, with one guard yelling at people to go into the venue.
I was in a group of 5 with a child and 1 older person. As soon as we got through the pat down he immediately started yelling at us to go into the venue, but we couldn’t go in, as the person that had our tickets was having their bag checked. So we got as far as we could and waited. Everyone finally finished getting checked, and the older person in our group was having a hard time getting up the stairs. As I went out to help my father, the yelling guard began screaming at me, and threatening me to go back inside the venue. A completely unwarranted, unwelcome, and not at all needed interaction. Yet he was nowhere to be seen when multiple attendees were shoving people into each other to give themselves maximum personal space. Either be useful and an A** or shut up.
Terrible start to the night, and killed our excitement for the concert.
Standing room only is also stupid, but my fault for not verifying. Quickly became unsafe for the child in the group, and we were forced to spend an additional 140$ to reach the balcony just to see amazing performers, have a great set on a stage that was nowhere near accommodating enough for them.
So happy I’ll never have to go to this venue again.
2 stars because staff inside building were awesome and tried to be accommodating, but the experience was completely ruined by the security team and the...
Read moreI was here on 2/25 for an Emo Night Brooklyn show - 3rd time I've been to this venue for one. The past 2x were great, ton of fun, no complaints. This past visit was awful. Right around 12:15 when people were good and drunk, the crowd surfing started. My friend and I were right up front when it started and at first, it was fine. One or two people here and there - it was normal and manageable. However, it started getting out of hand when there were 2-3 people at a time trying to crowd surf, causing people to try and duck down, which in turn caused people getting dropped in the middle of the crowd, on top of other people, knocking them down and injuring them. A girl to my left was kicked in the head and face 3x by different people trying to crowd surf, and on the last time when she got kicked so hard in the side of her head that it knocked her onto the ground, a security guard ended up having to help her out of the crowd for medical attention. The poor security guards tried to help as best as they could, but in all reality, that DJ should have stopped and said something to the crowd about people getting injured, or security should have said something. I've never been to a show where that was allowed to continue to happen. I've been to plenty of shows where the artist had to stop to let people know that people were getting hurt, and not once was it ever an issue for the crowd. Really, really disappointed. We ended up leaving early because it...
Read moreAside from just being an all around great venue in terms of space, sound, amenities, and cleanliness, this place has attained a level of customer service that is absolutely mind blowing. Every employee I encountered was courteous, kind, and friendly. Outside the venue, security showed concern for our safety, and then the wand guy gave me such a friendly smile that I had a moment of confusion. The wand guy is never nice! Inside, the ticket takers were super nice and the bartender was amazing. He was patient and funny and genuinely seemed to want to make a great drink instead of just slinging out whatever. But it gets better. My feet were hurting me, so I was sitting on the edge of the steps. I know I wasn't supposed to and was fully prepared to stand up if security approached me. When security did appear, he didn't tell me I couldn't sit in the standing-room-only area; instead he asked if I was okay. And then he upgraded me and my two adult children to the upstairs room where we finished out the concert in comfy chairs. That level of customer service is honestly something I have never experienced in my life. Probably nobody from the venue will read this, but if any of you do, I want to thank you and commend you for a job very well done. You people...
