My account was deferred by my auto policy, Ally financial, for being laid off from my job in March due to the Pandemic. When I started working again and paying my acct, and saw that there were finance charges being accumulated.
On 09/10/2020 I had contacted my auto company, Ally financial, to discuss these finance charges being accumulated and the representative I spoke with told me to keep paying my acct on time and once I make my last payment the finance charges should come off.
On 11/20/2020 I spoke with a supervisor named Adrian, Ref# 48210613, and was told by the representative someone had given me misguided information. That he sent my case to the department of higher management for the consumer service team and to allow 1-2 business days and I have yet to hear from someone unless you call.
On 11/28/2020 I spoke with Gene that said there was no status/solution in regards to my case, and sent a follow up message. Still have yet to hear from someone.
On 11/30/2020 I have been on the phone for 48 mins and 38 secs. Customer service transferred me to Randy that said the only person that can help me with the finance charges is the dept of customer service. I spoke to Lisa in that department, did not know I was being transferred from another department and apologized. Then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do about the finance charges and I would need to be transferred back to the customer service department who can help. To please hold on the phone until she can get someone and is unable to get someone. I told her I was highly upset for being transferred around cause the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing!
In the end, I told Lisa that this whole process has been very disappointed. Because of the Pandemic I am not making the money like I was making so as many other working Americans. When I was laid off Ally was nice for deferring my account. It is unfair to accumulate charges knowing how many people have been laid off. If I knew this was going to happen I would have NEVER chosen to...
Read moreMy vehicle was repossessed by Ally at the auto body shop while I was in court with the shop. A hearing is scheduled for September due to the shop's failure to properly repair the vehicle. Ally claimed to have paid $5,000 to the shop on my behalf, as I had not paid for the repairs, despite having proof that the shop had already cashed the check. My vehicle contained personal belongings valued at over $1,000, including a leather chair, dashcam, a friend's package, floor mat, phone holder, and another package, which Ally refused to return. Ally falsely reported to the credit bureau that I had missed the August payment, leading to the repossession. When I contacted Ally, they either hung up on me, placed me on an extended hold, or yelled at me, demanding payment of $5,000 plus a $599 interest fee to retrieve my vehicle. I attempted to explain that the auto body shop had misrepresented the situation, but Ally refused to listen. They informed me that my vehicle would be sold on August 28. I have been making timely payments on the vehicle since February 2024, and the vehicle remains insured. I did not receive an affidavit of defense, as I had requested that it not be sent to me. The bank stated that they were protecting their interests, which I acknowledge, while also asserting my own interests in ensuring that I do not take possession of a vehicle that has not been properly repaired or has missing parts. This is why I was dealing with the shop, and Ally intervened without first contacting me to verify the accuracy of the shop's claims. I possess all necessary documentation to support my position. How can pay for something that I don't owe? What is the reason Ally...
Read moreAlly has provided the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever endured. Turning in a lease with this company has been an awful experience. They were supposed to send a representative out to inspect the car in 3-5 business days and they did not send anyone out until 7.5 WEEKS after we turned it in. We dropped the vehicle off at the dealership on July 3 in near spotless condition and it was not until August 25 they came to look at it and now claim there is excessive wear with a dent and scratch that was not there 7.5 WEEKS prior, when it was out of our care. In addition, they refuse to send us a final bill until the truck is sold at auction. We have had countless billing issues prior with property taxes and misappropriated payments. No one at Ally is doing their job effectively nor efficiently. My husband has had to call MULTIPLE TIMES in the last month trying to get answers and nothing is resolved. After spending nearly a dozen hours on the phone, being transferred between multiple departments, he is only ever told “a ticket has been filed” or he will “get a call back” and NO ONE ever calls him back. We refuse to do ANY business ever again with Ally. We will be reporting them to the BBB and imploring all friends and family to stay away from this company that tries to exploit good people to get more money. Entirely unacceptable, unprofessional, and...
