On today my daughter and I had to go back to pick up two big bags of clothes that my daughter wanted to sale. On 4/11/2018 my daughter had taken the bags of clothing in to sale and as people who have sold clothes to them know that sometimes you must wait or come back in order for them to evaluate the items, so after my daughter had return to the store 10 minutes later the 2 bags she had taken in was still on the counter with her name on the tickets waiting for her as she went to look at shoes in the store, not even 3 minutes and returned to the counter her bags was gone, the clerk had supposedly given the bags to the wrong person, this guy who had taken the bags as his (so we were told) had only had one bag so why would he take two & he had a black little bag and my daughter had two big white bags. When I got to the store and spoke with the floor manager Taylor, (who did not want to give any info & didn't) also spoke of the clerk who gave the bags to this guy was let go, as I said that something needs to be done she only spoke of us waiting for a couple of days, I informed Taylor that I would report the clothes stolen she said to wait tell the next day (a day after the incident had happen), I asked her how did that sound to her, for us to report the stolen items the day after. She spoke on that the store do not get involved with the police but I could call if I wanted to, Taylor also spoke on the fact that the guys phone when call went straight to voice mail that the battery die and said it was obvious I informed her of no that's not obvious this someone with a block on and not taken calls from this store. I did call the police and make a report, the police came and spoke with them in the store and also got info for the guy, Taylor informed us she would call us the next day and ask to give them 24hrs to get in contact with this guy who was given the 2 bags for his 1, when I called Taylor this evening (@ 4pm) to see if they had heard from the guy she told me no, I ask what did they plan to do about this but once again no info, she stated that the general manager allison starkin will come up with something, I informed Taylor that if something did not happen that there would be a law suite. So now at bout 515pm we received a message from plato's closet and all of a sudden the 2 bags of clothes had appeared. This is ridiculous when all they had to do is produce the clothes. So people I say please please watch your items when you are in this store or even go the another one, I believe you will get...
Read moreHad a very weird experience here today. I brought in a bag of shoes to sell, and left my contact information. I was told it would take about 40 minutes for them to go through my stuff because they were busy. No problem, I went to run some more errands while I waited. 2 hours went by and I hadn't heard anything so I went back. There was a young black boy standing outside between Platos and Game Stop asking for donations for his AAU uniform. I spoke with the young man and then went inside Platos. There was a woman standing behind the counter saying that the boy outside was trying to get people to come inside of the store. She went on and on about this for a few minutes until I corrected her and told her that he was asking for donations. She then wanted to know if that was legal for him to do so; at this point I asked about the items I dropped off because why are you worried about something going on outside of the store that is none of your concern. In addition, why am I leaving my contact information if you aren't going to call me or text when my stuff is ready? They had already went through my bag but got my items mixed up in a bin with another person's stuff and the young lady was trying to give me money for things that didn't belong to me. I made her take everything out of the bin to make sure that none of my stuff was in there with the other person's stuff. Also, some of the shoes I brought were in dust bags and Sierra or Cierra (this is who they say looked at my stuff) and she did not put those shoes back in the dust bags; it looks like she just tossed everything back into my bag. Perhaps if the employees here would mind their business and do their jobs these mix ups wouldn't happen.
I do plan on selling here again but management needs to make sure these employees are professional, organized and managing their...
Read moreWaste of my time, energy and money going here. I brought in fairly decent items in good condition and I would say my items are still wearable despite the ever changing trends. The girl who apparently looked through my items only took four things claiming they were the only trendy and decent items as everything else was outdated and not in good condition. I waited over an hour just to be told this. I was just so insulted. Just because she might not wear them herself it doesnât mean no one else will, and vice versa. Apparently their target audience is for teens as said by the girl at the counter but everyone shopping there was clearly in their mid twenties at least. I saw no teens shopping there. The product they had in their store were also quite outdated and from Ross which is known for having cheap prices and caters to all ages including women older than 18. My clothes were a mix of womenâs wear and junior sizing. I donât even think she looked through my entire bag of items since I had a lot. Everything else in the bag looked untouched and folded the same as before and there were others who had brought in their items to sell too. Even when I got there initially one of the girls glared at me and rolled her eyes upon seeing me walk in with my items. Honestly if the employees there are going to be unprofessional and act like that towards customers, what does that say about their company? Some of the items I had tried to sell were a beautiful red floral summery maxi dress that ties in the back, a satin and lace bodysuit from VS, a lace bodysuit brand new and unworn, a yellow ruffled floral maxi dress, etc. just to name a few and yet none of these were taken to my surprise. This was my first time here and I will not be coming back due to my experience of such snobbery and...
