Schrock's Heritage Furniture — Local services in Dover

We ordered a table from them a couple months ago. When it was delivered, the finish was grainy and not smooth to the touch on a majority of the table. They took it back and re-finished it for us, and they agreed that it wasn’t right. After getting it back, within a week there was significant damage to multiple areas of the table. We can’t even write on it without there being a mark. This is black walnut. It’s supposed to be a strong wood that we were promised would hold up for decades. We begged and pleaded with them to please let us return the table (as it costs over $3,000) because the quality was nowhere near what we were promised. They have refused and will only give us a partial return of $1900 because it is a custom piece. All of the tables are custom. We chose one that was exactly what we saw on the sales floor. We told them we would contact the BBB and they do not care. If you are looking for quality as well as people who stand behind their name DO NOT purchase from this company. We ordered in person an arts-and-crafts style chair last spring. The staff were professional and courteous in assisting us. We were shown various styles of chairs, choices of wood and fabric samples from which to choose. The staff offered useful advice and helped us pick the perfect chair for our home.
