Absolutely amazing and quick service. I have been in the software engineering and development industry since 1996 but I am not much of a hardware person. I will work on a desktop tower but not a laptop. I don't use Windows or Mac or a major laptop manufacturer. I use a small manufacturer called System76 and it is a Linux operating system laptop. My keyboard broke and my battery was toast. I thought I was going to have to ship it to System76. Thankfully, I had a couple of older ones and Jamie was able to salvage a keyboard and battery and had my laptop back to me in less than 24 hours. When I went to pick it up, Jamie was politely helping another customer with a software issue. While I waited a short time, I was thoroughly impressed with how patient Jamie was. Having had to do software support for software I created I know it can be frustrating and I always had trouble being patient with end users. He was incredibly polite and patient. These guys know both the software and hardware side. If they can fix a small laptop manufacturer like System76 that runs on Linux operating system then these are the only guys to trust to fix any operating system, software, or hardware issues on your Windows or Mac computer or laptop and any other manufacturer. Not only did Jamie fix it, but he harvested all the extra parts from the two donor laptops for me just in case I have future issues. As well, it was surprisingly affordable. 9/2023 - EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL !!! Jamie & Steve know there stuff - Mac & PC. They have been at this location for a very long time - well over a decade easy. Prices are good as well as turnaround time. They are however extremely busy so a suggestion is that you call ahead! Had my computer cleaned up and have to come back for scheduled time for upgrades, etc.

Update 10/2023 went again to Ray's Connecting Point - awesome - Jamie took my computer which needed ram upgrade, clean up. Dropped off 1030am and he thought it would be ready by 2PM., got a call right before Noon and it was done. I was originally to have upgrade from a measly one 4 gig of ram to two 4's (8) BUT he upgraded to 32! Way 2 go Jamie. He then said I could have gone as high as 64 but thought it was overkill. New keyboard - new mouse and cleaned up computer as well. Wicked great low price too! They need to clone Jamie. My comp is a HP and I miss my Mac. BUT they work on almost any computer and they are the place to go for Mac and the only one I would ever trust for a Mac. Several years ago my Mac crashed and I needed my comp up and running. I went to one data retrieval place before I knew of Ray's and they wanted $3,000 - $4,000 to work on comp and do data retrieval. Found out about Ray's and they had it up an running for I think $200? Talk about honesty. Jamie and Steve are the most honest you will ever find. Highly under appreciated and overworked. It is rare that I experience such amazing service that I follow through with my good intentions to sit down and write a review. Ray's has been around forever, and since my family has always been an Apple one, I remember visiting their old location as a kid. My mom, whose computer is necessary for her business, has relied upon them to come out and fix up her old iMac (and the fact that it was even still functioning is testament to their wizardry). I wanted to buy her a newer (but not new, she would never accept that) computer, so I went to Ray's because I knew I could trust buying a used computer from them. I was not disappointed. At all. Jamie was incredibly helpful, from the purchase through several phone calls about bringing everything needed to migrate the ancient operating system over with all of my mom's specific software needs - and he did it WAY faster than he estimated and quite frankly, overdelivered. As I said earlier, it's rare for me to actually sit and write a review - but it's even more rare that a business consistently delivers such good service that they exist for 3 decades. Worth. Every.
