I am honestly disappointed more than anything. This was some time in February that my fiancé and I went in to look at suits for our wedding in June. The place was busy, but we were helped pretty much right away by Michael Graver the Store manager. He was a very loud, flamboyant gentleman that managed to knock over a display while trying to lean up against it while talking to us. After he had righted the display, I told him that we were getting married and had 10 guys that needed suits for the wedding, and we wanted to know if there were any deals for renting that many suits. There were, in fact, some deals. If we rented 9 suits at $220 apiece for the 7 groomsmen and 2 dads then I could either get my rental for free, get a $400 shopping spree (that couldn’t be used on wedding stuff) or get a free suit that did not match the rental suit in style or color. After some discussion, Michael said he would let us talk it over in private while he went and helped another customer. In the meantime, my fiancé and I decided that we wanted me to match my groomsmen in our wedding so we would not do the free suit and the other offers were just not that good of a deal for being willing to rent more than $2000 worth of suits for one day.
At this point Michael was in the middle of helping someone else so we walked over to a lady, Cassie Stratton the Formal wear manager, who was not helping anyone but was standing with an iPad at the kiosk. After a few minutes, she addressed us without looking up and asked us what we had decided to go with. We told her that we weren’t a fan of the rental deals but would be interested in buying 10 suits if there was a better deal and if we could get them at a reasonable price. She told us that the deals were the same as the rental and the buying prices for wedding suits started at around $300, and I asked about non-wedding deals just regular suits that were cheaper than $300 and she didn’t seem to have an answer to that question. She then led us back over to the table where the rentals were and asked us what our colors were for the wedding so that we could find a tie and vest to match. My fiancé had brought a swatch of our wedding color, Blush Pink, and handed it to the lady who knew right away without looking at it that it was a blush pink and that it was a popular color. Well after about 10 more minutes of looking for rental ties that matched, which none did, she started bringing over $60 ties that we would have to buy in addition to the $220 rental of the suits. It was at that point I knew I would not be doing business with Men's Wearhouse. The mixture of employees that did not care about me as a customer and the deals that really didn’t help me on my wedding day was enough for me to walk out of that store, drive 10 minutes across town to a different men's apparel store and buy 10 suits at $169 apiece.
The poor service we received at Men's Wearhouse was lacking and as a customer, I felt like they only wanted my money and truly did not care about helping me find the best suit in our price range for our wedding day. The lack of attention, the pushy sales people and the disingenuine "help" we received are all reasons we will not be going back to Men's Wearhouse. Oh, and now they continue to send my fiancé emails about finishing our order and they have her listed as the groom.... yet another example of the lack of attention to detail they manage to muster for...
Read moreI want to thank the young female employee of this Men's Wearhouse who helped me after a bunch of botched transactions from the day before at the Brier Creek AND another branch further east in Raleigh. I selected a men's suit coat, pants, plus dress shirt in Brier Creek purchasing the pants and shirt in Brier Creek and picked up the coat at a store further east. The assistant in Brier Creek seemed more interested in getting me out then helping find the right clothes for my important interview a week later. Since the right sized coat wasn't available in that store he recommended I go to one about 15 mins away to pick up the second. I told him I lived in Cary but for some reason he sent me 15 mins in the opposite direction which I didn't notice until I was on the way (I'm new to the area). After making my purchases that evening I checked the website to make sure I had paid the right price and realized several things with what I had been charged. First, if I had added a tie I could have saved nearly $50. Second, by splitting up the purchases of the suit coat from the pants and shirt I was shorted $20 in Black Friday bonus cash. Third the pants should have been priced at $120 not $125 on the receipt. Finally, the assistant at the Brier Creek store should have let me know about the Perfect Fit program which offers a $50 gift certificate when purchasing $500 worth of clothes which I met during the first visits to the two stores. I'm glad I researched since by going to the Chapel Hill store the next day the female employee there was able to reverse the original transactions, helped me select a tie, get the online pricing, and get into the Perfect Fit program saving me over $70 plus obtaining the additional $20 in bonus money. I originally went to the Brier Creek store given its higher reviews, but don't kid yourselves folks ... The high customer service is at the Chapel Hill/Durham border store of Men's Wearhouse. I wish I could remember the employee's name. She had her act together and helped me get what I should have received the day before - good service at a...
Read moreThe employees at Men's Wearhouse have been extremely nice and incredibly helpful to me. At this store I have been given all the help I needed to outfit nine guys for my wedding.
Orlando helped my pick out my suit on my first trip to the store, listening to my ideas and picking out jackets that I would like. I turned down most of them before I settled on a clearance suit. I had all my guys track it down and buy it. Some of them were having trouble with their own Men's Wearhouse locations when they were trying to order the suit, so I went to this location and asked for their sizes and these guys found every suit immediately at other stores. I made the purchases during half-price clearance suit sales saving hundreds of dollars.
I then needed to pick out ties. I waited for a tie sale and bought all nine on the same day (there was a huge tie sale going on). Lauren (i think that was her name) helped me out a ton with these, ultimately picking out the tie that I'm going to wear.
At another time I went back for my shirts and Lauren again helped me pick these out. Buy this time I had $150 in store credit and coupons, plus they were having a half price shirt sale. I think I saved $400 dollars or so on these.
It's been an awesome experience. There were a couple other people that helped me as well. Roy, the store manager, helped me with my dad's suit, which I got at half off clearance, and Eric, I think, helped me with one of my groomsman's. Same deal, half off clearance.
I read the bad reviews before going to this store, and I really didn't have high hopes. I was surprised and am really glad I gave this...
